If you've paid by paypal for an item off ebay, you should be covered anyway I think.

I got arse raped over chritsmas Embarassed

Sold PS2 and games, got email asking me to post to Nigeria, as I wanted to sell, I said yes.

He said he was gonna transfer monies, as no paypal account

Got email from Paypal (turned out to be fake Evil or Very Mad ), stating that money would not be transfered until I gave them the items shipping number. Again I wanted a sale, so £63 later, I gave them the number, still waiting Middle Finger

The cheeky fucker has had the check to say that they have no money to pay, and they would give me some phones to sell, the money raised from selling these would cover the PS2

Like fuck Pandi Pano Middle Finger Evil or Very Mad Middle Finger

Ebay stated that I could get the local police to chase him for the money, but the address they gave on registration has an incomplete address.

It all sounds kinda dodgy when you think about it in the light of day, to late now Sad

To be fair, if you're stupid enough to sell to nigerians on ebay you should go and microwave your testicles right now.

Yea payed by paypal, how do I go about claiming it back?

I have just claimed for a hoover that I got scammed with via Paypal.

I could claim upto £120 back, but the first £15 is for Paypals fees, so you'll end up with about £9! Evil or Very Mad Thumbs Down

Thumbs Up

You need to wait 10 days before you open a dispute about not receiving an item.

Have a look here https://pages.ebay.co.uk/help/tp/inr-snad-process.html

He's probably a one-man band who has a lot of stuff to send out. People end up running extremely successful businesses on eBay, and if you're doing it all yourself it can get tiring!

Give him the benefit of the doubt, and give him a neutral feedback or ask for your postage costs back when it does arrive.

A week isn't bad, i have waited over 2 weeks for a cdi unit and not had a reply. Will give it a few more days then ill take the necessary proceudres.

TBH i always expect ebay items to take forever to get posted so thats why i don't really use it anymore. If its cheap then you have to give and take a bit.

In fairness, it's probably the post office who are to blame. I bought an item off ebay recently. It was only a small item and took 6 weeks to arrive from Hull, even though the postmark was stamped the day after the auction ended. Thumbs Down

Look at his positive feedback, you'll get it, you might have to wait a while, maybe consider negative or neutral feedback.

I got done a month ago, the bloke had 50 positive feedback. Luckily it was only £13.50 for a pair of gloves, another guy bought a pair of Sidis for £80. Paypal can do nothing because his account is empty, so thats it.

He's from Southampton, anyone down that way ? His name is Marc Summer(s) I have his phone number too, 02380405897 the b@st@rd. Evil or Very Mad
