I've lost my wallet, and my driving licence (photocard) was in it. Trouble is, I have my bike test in 11 days, and the DVLA -

https://www.direct.gov.uk/Motoring/DriverLicensing/NeedANewOrUpdatedLicence/NeedANewOrUpdatedLicenceArticles/fs/en?CONTENT_ID=4022085&chk=zmPO/4

- say it takes 3 weeks to get a new one.

Can I get a priority service, or put my test back, or something, in case I can't find my wallet before then? Crying or Very sad

i think that when you get your:
Arrow bike license it should be one colour (eg Blue)
Arrow car licence another different colour (eg red)
Arrow when you pass both another colour (eg yellow)

and other licences such as lorry should be different colours!!! be so much more fun that way

And Rookie, your test has come up quickly, hope you pass Thumbs Up

For future reference:

The way the DVLA works is that if you lose one part of the license you have to send a cheque or postal order along with the bit you haven't lost. This takes time.

However if you fib and say you have lost BOTH parts of the license then you can order over the phone and use a switch/visa card to do it. I recieved mine in 4 or 5 days when that happened.

Also for future reference you can go to visit your local DVLA and bring your ID and money etc and they will turn it around in about a week.

Thumbs Up
