Can you clutch it up normally?

For stand ups I clutch it up sitting down.
I then stand up.
If I'm using the left pillion peg I will usually clutch it up with my foot already on it, however I do sometimes start with my left foot on the rider footpegs if I want to change gear, then move my foot back to the pillion peg, then stand up.

Do try and keep your weight back wen doing them; as if you were pusing the bike away from you, otherwise the balance point gets stupidly high. Even holding the bike away from me like this I still found that I was pretty damn high on the TRX often!

Annoyingly the TRX doesn't seem to like balance point wheelies when sitting down as it gets a side to side wobble on before you can get high enough.

Some of my attempts:

I did sort out doing proper balance points ones, but unfortunately the camera battery died so didn't get most of my decent ones. I'm on the TRX850 - also me on the zx9, but it wasn't running to well with year old petrol, so couldn't do anything decent.

I'm not too sure exactly what revs I use.

But basically, you probably need to rev a bit more dump the clutch faster.

As for the head bearings, the trick is to let it down gently.
If you are holding it steady, dip the throttle, then bring it back on again to about the same point. This should make the front 'float' down; sometimes it's even a case of dipping it then when you've dropped a bit pulling it on even more.
Just shutting off the throttle will see engine braking try to force the front wheel into the tarmac, not such a good thing Smile.

TZR:
Seeing that I can't get to the balance point in sitdown wheelies as the bike wobbles side to side too much, I also find stand up wheelies easier.

Nope, I also find stand up wheelies easier than sitting down, i feel more in control of the bike stood up than sat down. I feel i have more control over the front end of the bike. To get the front end up I usualy release the clutch and as the front end starts to come up I stand up and it brings the front up much easier, then play with the throttle to get the balancing point, Thumbs Up Dan
