Wink Think they're sick of me over there, even though it's my local.

Last part(s) awaiting arrival - Pirelli Diablo tyres.

Whilst being fitted, I'll be able to finally restore the inside of the swingarm, the fork leg bottoms, underside of the bottom yoke, give the disc centers a proper clean, scrub the inside of the spokes, fit the Renthal rear sprocket plus the accumulating stainless/ti fixings.

Then ride the thing of course.

I hope you mean Diablo Corsas.

you cant have Diablos on a bike like that.

its like fitting a tankbag on a motogp bike Razz.

Yea ive got some of these on the SV and there great, need a new rear before summer but offer loads of grip

Wave could have a point about the corsas though, if you get it out on nice days might aswell go for corsas and that even more grip!

The website say corsas are 50/50 track:street, wouldnt last all that long on my bike!!

I couldn't find a Corsa in a 130/70ZR16 fitment, so made do with the standard Diablos. Heard good things about them from fellow Blade owners, plus a handy review on https://www.honda-fireblades.co.uk/product_reviews_3.html

I also can't be bothered to change a set of tyres every 1500 miles, so hoping the Diablos would be a good compromise between grip/durability/all round greatness.

Maybe if I get round to buying some Dymags my choice in tyres would change Wink

Supercorsas are too sticky for the road; They don't ever warm up.

Corsas are OK in the summer, I had some on my Daytona. They weren't that good in the wet though.

The Diablos I have heard are just as good as the corsas on the road, only better in the wet. Plus they are cheaper!

It might be that the corsas are good for the occasional trackday, whereas the Diablos might 'go off' under track conditions. Either way, for pure road use the Diablo is the better bet afaik.

Remember kids, bikes aren't like lego. You can't easily take a part from one bike and then fit it to another.

Not tempted by a more substantial project craig?

Perhaps a full concourse rebuild on something classic, or perhaps a streetfighter/one off bike of your own?

Can't wait to get some road grime on it (not salt though - no way!) - gives me an excuse to clean the thing.

I've done the classic bike thing Reuben (well, one atleast). Not an old British twin, but instead of the 125 stroker route, I spent my 17th and 18th years restoring and rebuilding this little bike:

https://i3.photobucket.com/albums/y51/whers84/4004b.jpg

As a second bike (which I'm thinking of getting soon), thinking of getting a crosser and supermoto'ing it up for the trip to work.
