coordinates feature for the forum?

On SV650.org they have recently redone a few things (mainly due to it keep going down so new servers etc)

On of the things done was a coordinates feature where you put you coordinates in your profile with the aid of a muiltimap style map to pin point your town and when you click on another persons profile tell you how many miles they are from you.

They use the same forums programe/very simular and just wundered if this sort of thing could ever be used on BCF, be great for rideouts etc Thumbs Up

Do you need to know?

I can see from that map that I wouldn't go on a ride out with you, if our dots were next to each other, I'd know that I could.

I personally don't think it's necesssary to know how many miles away you are from someone. Plus, it's bound to work on a line of sight formula given the coordinates, so it'll be inaccurate.

It would be good to be able to search for all members within a certain distance from you.

As it is you would have to click on each person's profile to see how far away they are from you.
