Where i live, there squadys roll round quite often...

Mainly due to drunken chavs down the local park about 2 mins from me, and there is also a tyre mountain from the car garage very close, this wall gets set fire to regularly - by the drunken chavs.

So squadys are around a lot, i could in theory get done for Noise Polution - Causing dangerous driving conditions by the smoke, there was a lot of it, i duno, just being a pussy i spose Laughing

Hey Shirley, he stacked it on a roundabout the other day, had a new front tyre and over cooked it... left a bolt in the center of the roundabout.

He did another suicide run for it, this time it paid off Wink Laughing

Erm....

Dont know quite what to say about that...

A) Why so many credits... why so much rolling, and why so much gravitas that lasted longer then the clip.... ?
I even timed it roughly, credits 40 Seconds!
Burnout... 13.

B) Dump the clutch straight out with plenty of revs, dont fanny about or the clutch will die.

C) If the burnout is all the video is of, maybe it lasting longer then 13 seconds would be an idea?

D) Dont go on the web saying, 'better get inside before i get nicked' for a 13 second burnout on a bike with a stock exhaust in what looked like a quiet area.
You say that after doing VERY naughty things. And even then it never looks cool.

thats comparing it to yours...

Yes your dad has a blade, but bear in mind, how often have you rode behind your dad ragging it?
Or how often has he generally revved tits off it at a standstill....

All half decent 4 strokes of half decent capacity sound loud.

However big inline 4 sportsbikes with sportscans on sound fucking evil Laughing

I was trying to upload a zip of my bike video, but no luck. I might snip out the burnout clip from the end. Only short, but its an ok burnout. You'll notice bigger bikes shred tyres alot LOT quicker too Evil or Very Mad

Edit: Done it...

One point, once you have a good burnout any fool can hold it. Its just a matter of how much rubber you want to cover the bike in and how much you wanna risk riding home on bald tyres/calling out the AA.

Your a bit of a fag aint you?

Reason for credits - I just discovered new Movie Maker, was playing around with it.

Reason for rolling - Soaking wet ground, slippy front tyre, and a rear tyre with next to no pressure = Very Grippy.

Why only only 13 seconds? Because tyre had a puncture - was rapidly loosing pressure, didnt want it to come off the rim.

Why bring it back in cos of the cops? - Because im right on a main road with cars stacked at the top of my driveway because of traffic lights.

As palmer said - It is pretty loud when im riding it, that vid is from a pretty old cam with out dated sound recording.

Wow you have a bike with race cans - Some of us are on a budget, and dont have endless money to blow on things like end cans etc... blah blah blah

So personally:

shut up, get over yourself, and if you dont like the vid, then unlucky. I didnt go out there to make a vid so everyone would enjoy it. The actual video is about 1 1/2 mins long, didnt think people would want to watch all that of me preparing for burnouts etc.

Hush fool.

PS: Despite what you may think of palmer / his folks, they are wicked people, and a lot cooler than you, probably only half your age aswell.

See i at least followed your logic up until there... ?

Im 19.

As for his parents, i bet they are. But very few parents rag bikes around their kids. And he cant exactly go on a rideout as the 50 wont keep with it (when ragged).

Also, that video was on a 16 yr old vfr 750 with standard can on, that i bought for 200 quid ish and spent 500 quid moting.

Just because you have a new movie maker, doesnt excuse the credits being 4 times longer then the content.

As for main road ness, its a burnout. No car driver is gonna notice a puff of smoke and a bit of revving. Much less are they gonna fone the fuzz on you. Get some perspective.

Also it wasnt the rolling i noted, it was the fact you could tell you were barely revving it until someone told you to rag it in. Thats a good way to strain the clutch. You want it to break traction cleanly, and you snap the clutch back in to stop it again (which you also didnt do, you stalled it).

I dont think im flash either, theres a vid floating around under the title 'point and laugh at bonny_ricardo'.

Im just giving you some tips. I tell you what, ignore them, ignore them all.

Oh and also, just because the video is one and a half minutes long, doesnt mean all of it is good footage. The clip came from a 3 minute vid which was FILLED to match the song length, hence the odd wheelie isnt quite my best. I believe (Ask rob or dan, dont have all the clips anymore) the entire clips tallied up to about 70 minutes.

Cutting out the fannying around is the main reason you use a video editor, not to put too many scrolling credits that last far too long, even if it was a proper length video (ie a minute or two of actual stunts)

Same when i made an onboard, i had about 40 minutes, which i cut down to about 7 minutes. Its all about cutting the clips down to keep the tempo.

Allright mate,

Im sorry, i was a bit hot headed earlier.

I know the vid wasnt the best thing ever, but hey, its only mean to be a short bit of a laugh, yeah the credits are too long - but i wont do that again next time, think of it that way, its out of my system now Thumbs Up Laughing

But yeah, erm...

Oh yeah with him telling me to rag it - It just so happened that he called out as i was about to rev it up, i didnt want to do it quickly like i normally do as it was very slippy for the front tyre, and i realy didnt want to fly forward again.

And as for stalling, i didnt stall it. I flipped the sidestand down which cuts the engine, theres a difference.

Dont make me out to be a newby at burnouts, im not, ask palmer.

Thumbs Up

Best thing to do then is;

A) Try and find better grip. For instance that road the wheelies are on gave great grip for wheelies/burnouts, even though all day it had just spun up when i tried to wheely.

B) If you wedge on the brakes then pogo the front down, it kind of bites down.

I know you arent a novice, nor am i. But im not claiming to be good either. I just know ive fucked up a clutch doing cock eyed rolling burnouts (its harder then it looks to do nothing but release front brake and hold revs on). Since then im more careful. Snap in, snap out. Everything else leave it alone.

Also with regards to sidestand, clutch would be better. Clutch disengages drive from wheel allowing the wheel to stop all on its own. Sidestand switch just kills engine entirely, thus giving the clutch agro as it slows back down and probably doing your chain no good.
Not to mention is probably safer to keep both feet flat then trying to hop around getting the stand down.

Anyway, i wasnt trying to have a proper pop at you. Its just i hate people who blindly big up videos in need of obvious critique.
The next video you make will be much better now, will it not?

My videos where crap until i figured out how to get music on there, and stuff like that.

If you want to get some proper advice, i would talk to bendy.

To be fair single stunts are in less need of an in built intro as you title/upload etc them. For instance Burnout would have been fine for that... ?

Anyhew, food for thought. I know lower capacity bikes make less smoke, so thats not a bad burnout Thumbs Up
