 |
|
were used origionally by horses,
so arn't they techincally bridle ways?
Isn't it illegal to block/obstruct a bridle way.
Arn't councils all over the UK blocking tow paths with gates which are hard enough to get a push bike or three dogs through let alone a full blown horse?
So would someone if they decided to be able to take the councils to court and get the gates removed? or made horse friendly?
I can remeber riding my pony down the canal towpath into the centre of coventry when I was about 10 wouldn't be able to do it now.
what if I wanted to though?

interesting point simple
in theory you are meant to have a license to ride a push bike along the canal but i have only been asked to show one once, and then i just rode off
all the gates i have seen, you can lift the bike over the gate, a horse could jump it, and you could get a motorbike past by wheeling it on the edge where the canal is and leaning it out to get past the gate
i once saw a lad on a minimoto on a canal towpath which seemed a bit odd to me.
so have u still got a pony then ?
youve got all the toys, motorbikes, shotguns, horses etc
ive got an inflatable canoe i use sometimes on the canal near me ____________________ colin1 is officially faster than god |

Pony had a heart attack and snuffed it. Got another one but he's fat and useless wanna buy him? £500?
I also have an inflatable boat, use it on the fishing pond for de-pond weeding it.
A pony could possibly jump the gates, not if it was towing a barge however.
All the toys and no money to use them, typical eh. ____________________ Insta - FemFeral |

Cyclist - "Umm...No! Its a pushbike "
Officer - "Well get off and push it then!"

They're spent a fain bit of money tidying it up, they laid a path all the way round it, with boardwalks so that you can get right up to the waters edge. At the gates where you enter they put up signs saying "Cyclists Dismount". I Presume this is for safety reasons as (1) The boardwalks are quite narrow, about 4 ft & have no hand rails or anything to stop you falling in the water, and (2) There are people walking round the path and there isn't room to get out of the way of oncoming cyclists.
Everytime we go round the pool, we are met by Mr & Mrs Moron with their kids in tow, CYCLING round the fucking path. If you attempt to tell them that cycling isn't permitted they just say "well no ones told us that" then they carry on cycling around the path.
This pool is right facing the British Waterways office, and they cant even be bothered to enforce their own rules. |
Take a walking stick, refuse to get out their way, they won't hit you, use your stick if you fear for your own personal safety and nudge them in,
thought you'll prolly get done for polluting the water ____________________ Insta - FemFeral |
