I bought a cbr 600 about 3 months ago and it has been stood in the garage for about 3 months and i havent been on it,so eventually got round to doing my bike test about 3 days ago and past so i thought i would take it out for a ride so i did and at 4000rpm it died. And in the garage where it has been stood we have seen a few mice so we got a trap and caught 9 mouses.so anyway i took the bike round to a friend and he said to check the air filter so we did and just as we took the air filter of we got a horrible smell of mouse piss and the full air filter had been chewed up and there was clothe and bags that mice have dragged in and been living in,and i couldnt believe some how 9 mice had found there way up into my air filter and lived in it for about 2 months how the hell did they get there.SO NEXT TIME YOU BIKE DIES CHECK FOR MICE IN YOUR AIR FILTER!!

Yeah, mice are little bastards.

They climbed into the engine bay in my car, and ate the windscreen washer filler cap. Granted it was a yellow one, but it was anything but cheesy.

Grrr

You might want to check your wiring too, the little buggers love to munch the plastic off that, leaving the bike ripe for unexplained electical problems... Thumbs Down

My mate bought a firelabde which had had mice in the airbox, mouse urine had trickled down the inlet and seized one of the pistons, engine required a full rebuild!!!

Get yourself some traps and perhaps some sticky boards

Go buy a box of mothballs & put em around the wall of the garage, the smell of the Naptha will drive em out.
Replace em when they have evaporated (about 3 months or so)

The mental picture of a wee little mousey corpse being launched into someone's windscreen out of your exhaust is pretty fantastic.

*runs away and giggles*

I hope none of the mice fell into the intakes!

It died at 4000rpm because that's the frequence a mouse expodes when being pummled by a piston!!

I have a cat (not mine) that seems to live under the rain cover of my yp250.

It sits on the riders seat and makes it all mucky. Its quite often there bold as brass when i take the cover off to ride it. The funny thing is, that if i uncover just its bum, it doesnt know ive seen it and so stays still so i take hold of it and carry it away which scares it a bit.

Maybe one time, I'll put it in the under seat storage and take it for a ride. That will make it think twice about sitting on it !
