The Bike is a......?
If you have a bike with gears and a wet clutch - Sound like clutch wear. Adjust the cable, if that don't work chances aer it's completely worn. Answer - Replace the worn out clutch. |

Not if you do it yourself. About £50 for plates, springs and cover gasket. But may as well do an oil change while you're at it.
Try adjusting the cable first.
It'll get steadily worse, but it won't cause any damage to anything else in the engine. You can make it last by being gentle on the clutch when pulling away and avoiding opening the throttle sharply when there's a lot of load on the engine, such as pillion or up a hill. |
