The 06 gsxr is the at current peak of road bike design and Suzuki spend millions developing it, I'd leave it as it is.
Single sided swing arms are overated imo. If you really do want one Harris should be able to make one for you.

I very much doubt there are any you can buy 'off the shelf'.
So it'd mean either having one fabricated from scratch or adjusting one from another bike.
Eether way, you will make the bike heavier and handle worse.
Also, many people will think it looks stupid, most probably . |

Wow feeling the anger towards single siders
they may have their design limitations and flaws but a large proportion of the classic bikes from the last 2 decades have had them!

sorry have to slip that last one in

*puts hands over rvf's ears*
Dont listen to the bad men baby! they spread lies and deceit!
Granted the rc45 did switch to a dual sider (dont know about the rest) but gotta love the single siders! granted i would never spend a huge amount of money switching a dual sider to a single sider, aint got 2 grand to piss up a tree! zorst, powercommander, suspension and custom paintwork would be much higher up my list.

when i bought my gsxr 2 weeks ago i paid cash up front 10,500 so if i find wat i want ill do the same ive beeen saving up for 6 months & i bought
it fema work money is good so y not spend it[/quote]
Well, if it's something that really makes you happy (considering a lot of people may think your bike actually looks worse) - however I know if I had that amount of money to spend there's a whole lot of other things I would do it with it to enjoy myself first.
Now if it took me a month to save up £10k, then maybe I would justify spending £2k on something to make my bike worse.
But for me if it took me 6 months (and it's actually a /lot/ longer), there's no way I would/could justify it. Especially as likely I'd not be able to ride the bike for a while as it was developed. |

looks great, adds loads of unsprung weight.
Unsprung weight is bad mmkay.
On a bike which has a SSSA as standard they are fine. Adding one to one of the most finely developed bikes of recent times is by its very nature not going to improve the bike.
Basically because if Mr Suzuki thought a SSSA would improve the performance of the bike, he'd have fitted one. ____________________ British beauty: Triumph Street Triple R; Loony stroker: KR1S; Track fun: GSXR750 L1; Commuter Missile: GSX-S1000F; Cheap project: CBR900RR FireBlade
Remember kids, bikes aren't like lego. You can't easily take a part from one bike and then fit it to another. |
