You can't get a spark without the CDI. You need to wire it up properly.
I get the impression you are trying to bite off more than you can chew with this.
So you have one bike and you are trying to put the engine out of a different one in it right?
What are the two bikes?
I take it you are trying to splice the wiring from the engine into the existing wiring loom of the rolling chassis?
Is the loom intact or are you trying to use bits and pieces from both bikes?
I have done a fair bit of vehicle wiring (I've wired two bikes from scratch) and I have just spent the last hour or so working out how to fit the CDI from one bike onto my current one... and they both have the same engine! It is not an easy undertaking. ____________________ “Rule one: Always stick around for one more drink. That's when things happen. That's when you find out everything you want to know.”
I did the 2010 Round Britain Rally on my 350 Bullet. 89 landmarks, 3 months, 9,500 miles. |
