I'm not familiar with this model - but - the two 'spare' tubes connected to carbs will be either be breathers or overflows, just make sure theyre pointing downwards and route them so they cant drip on anything hot or on your back tyre.
It sounds as if the float valves are not seating, when you took them apart to clean did you keep all the parts for each carb together for reassembly or just mix them up. Have you reinmstalled the floats the correct way up? (on old hondas its possible to put them back the wrong way) Am just guessing really as i said i dont know this bike in particular please check with a manual
Were the carbs leaking before you stripped them?
Finally in view of petrol sloshing onto exhaust or even worse escaping from it! im tempted to say you shouldnt be allowed within a mile of the bike in this state, but we all have to start somewhere, get a manual before attempting any other work, or hire a mechanic or a friend who can show you how to do the job safely. In the meantime you're a danger to yourself and anyone in the vicinity, sorry for the tone, please take it as constructive, in the 30 years ive been around bikes ive lost 5 friends on the road and 2 in the workshop! ____________________ 1975 CB125s, 1991 GN250, 1990 Ducati Paso 906

Just to reiterate those 2 pipes should be pointing down and away from the bike. Mine are sort of clipped on, poking out through a hole in the fairing. |
