hving some right problems with my rxs 100 (as some awesome people may know who helped me out before) now it wont go off the kick start, i have to bump it and it bumps straight away but, when it does run it wont rev it gets to 6000 (really lumpily) and wont go further for a bit (regardless of how long i leave it to tickover warming up) then all of a sudden from holding the throttle wide open it revs like normal

wtf is this!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Evil or Very Mad

thanks

I find a lot of 2-strokes do that. I presume once it had gone past this 'blockage' it runs as you would expect? Bet there is loads of blue smoke too until it 'clears its throat'.

As for the starting. What's that sparkplug like?

Is it points ignition? (might be worth checking the timing if it is).

Could be down on compression a bit?

it dosent have any points, would be alot simpler if it did!!!!

sparkplug is new and a nice brown colour, it eats plugs so it has less than 50 miles on it

ill buy a new air filter even though the one in there looks ok, i dont get it though because once i get it revving normal it flies as it always has (in between breakdowns) somebody suggested lack of compression but wouldnt this affect overall performance?

Have you checked the torque on the head bolts since you refitted the barrel?

i didnt think thats really too bad now, with the cleaner petrol etc? i ran my 2 strokes round but never noticed any real buildup like bikes "back in the day" had Confused unless the fuel in whitwick area removes 2 smoke exhaust gunk more than others Smile
