 |
|
My old tyre was rather squared off from excessive commuting, more to the point over the last four weeks the handling of the bike was not as it should be, either that or I had forgot how to go round corners.
Anyway, got a BT020 fitted to the rear yesterday and bugger me, I can go round corners again.
The handling is now 100% better, just what the doctor ordered
To sum up, when your tyre is knackered it severely affects your cornering ability, put anything on thats the right shape and your back in business ____________________ don't take it easy 'ride it like you stole it' |

Exspences, questions, what are they.
The old tyre lasted for 7thou and the new BT020 has the same live span so for a grippy tyre that ain't bad, new tyre every seven weeks if im lucky then ____________________ don't take it easy 'ride it like you stole it' |

That looks quite similar to mine. I'm going for a 2CT tyre, hopefully the motorways won't have such a severe effect with one of those.
You didn't burn it out! It's tradition! |

Thought this thread was gonna be about Pilot Powers, they really are a tyre to inspire. I'm about 5mm from the edges on them already (about 200 miles) and I never got anywhere near that on my 014's.

Would love to do the decent thing and do a burnout but bassetts is on a tuesday and normally i can't change the tyre till the weekend, that would, in the worst case scenario, put me on slicks doing three figure speeds in the rain, would rather not try that one thankyou very much.
Chicken strips are virtually gone, well before the 100 mile mark, as the thread states 'a tyre to inspire' and that's what it does immediately
As for the tyre pressure, I check them weekly, 36 front & 42 rear. Would the high speed high milage call for a higher pressure?
What's your thoughts? ____________________ don't take it easy 'ride it like you stole it' |

I'm giving big sqirts of power whilst cranked over to try and use more tyre for you.
As for tyre pressure and wear, the tyre wore fine untill it had passed the 1mm tread depth mark, it was after that point it started to really deteriate. ____________________ don't take it easy 'ride it like you stole it' |
