seriously considered running someone over today in the van.

really shocked myself that i gave it so much thought when i saw him . basically was my old best mate (not any more). two years ago my wife left me for him and since then had been getting on with my new life pretty well new job, no debts, new gf etc.

just wondering what anyone else thinks?

well done for not doing it

i can understand you being tempted tho even if you were surprised at being tempted.

The main thing that would stop me in that type of situation would be consequences rather than conscience.

Im a mild mannered chap but the idea of a bit of vengeance does appeal.

well done for not doing it forst of all Thumbs Up

An old "mate" of my dads did this at a zebra crossing once, a couple of people he wasnt on the best of terms with were going across the crossing with him waiting in his car and they were taunting him to run them over...................................... He then went and ran them over but no that wasnt enough so he reversed back over them and then drove off. Laughing Shocked

He Got 6yrs inside and my dad has not talked to him in over 30yrs because he no better now than he was then Rolling Eyes

that would be the consequences

i love that bcf is such a big pool of experience that there is someone who knows the outcome of anything mentioned

but if your victim hasnt recognised you, and there are no witnesses...

tempting to want it but you could never be sure

As opposed to life before not going well, old job, debts, a cheating wife and a cnut of a friend.

Sounds like you are the one who has ultimately won in this situation Thumbs Up

Leave those 2 to be miserable together, they deserve it Karma

Mby the sighting can inspire you to some other kind of revenge.

Not the GBH type of running them over, but something childish and annoying for them Thumbs Up

What they've done to you has clearly affected you, however you've gotta take into account your new life. Maybe you're sore that your wife ran off with hin, but since you've got someone else what does it matter who she's with? I'd assume you're upset because of the betrayal of it all, but they will be the unhappy ones in the long run. Imagine building a relationship upon an affair, then leaving someone you married for it. That desecrates the sanctity of marriage for next time...if they got married, surely it'd mean nothing as it didn't stop her cheating on/leaving you?
Ignore the cnuts. People are scum sometimes. Let's just hope they get genital warts from all that fucking about and it spreads to their faces Smile

You shouldn't blame yourself for thinking like that at all.

I also count myself as a logical and passive person but I also respect the fact that we are humans with animal instincts and sometimes they take over, especially revenge.

I think the situation of your mate stealing your girlfriend is about as far as someone can be pushed. I would probably go a bit loopy in that case and get myself in trouble.
The best thing you can do is distance yourself form them entirely. it sounds like you've done well, but to see either off them is probably too much to ask of anyones resolve.

I honestly believe what goes around comes around and I'm sure he'll get what's coming to him one way or the other in future. You should rest in that knowledge.

The mild mannered intelligent chap is probably the worst type to piss off. They are cautious enough not to do anything rash in the heat of the moment, but they can spend weeks or months figuring out a devious way to get back at you. When it comes, the victim is totally unprepared as it would be totally unexpected. They are the types who get away with murder!

My dad chased some kids up a road once cause they were putting the wipers up on our car so we jumped in and chased them up then they went on the pavement so he drove parallel to them and was trying to slap them around their heads Laughing

Also my friends couzin has done the Vinnie Jones thing from lock stock (or snatch?) with someones head in the car window! Twisted Evil Although he didn't drive along!

Apparently this guy tried to rape him, and the couzin is gay too! Confused

Backstabery is a funny thing, especially between friends.. but look at it in this way

Getting two noxious people out of your life for good is a positive thing.. sooner it happens the better, so you can get on with it and they drift allong till inevitably being shat on hard by Karma (or eachother, as there to be trusted as well as a hungry wolf in a box, with a kitten in a meat sandwich)

I considered it once in a rode rage incident, stopped myself because I thought i'd damage the bumper. (This bit worried me afterwards).

Some dick, decided to go nuts, getting out of his car etc, Stupid little prick, i'd just been cutting branches and had the machette in the car.
