I found a couple of sites (including Ebay) to be able to buy them off. I was looking at them too, for the same reasons, just typed Draggin Jeans into google and hit UK search.
They have stockist links on there site:

There might be someone local to you

Not being funny but why can't you find some leather jeans to fit? Nothing's over kill when you're on a bike, looking like a dick is something different though. |

I'm guessing they don't have the right sizes or something, remember whilst blokes clothing goes up to really big sizes, womens only goes up to a pretty crappy size. ____________________ Mutley - 1988 Austin Mini City - Blog

Because:
a) I'm female
b) I'm not a stick
c) I haven't really had a proper look
Icey has it spot on, it's very hard to find women's clothing in bigger than a 14, especially in well known makes such as Dainese, A* etc. I got my jacket custom made because I got fed up with trying on jackets that didn't fit (also, was my only chance to get the Nastro Rossi rep that I love) but right now I really can't afford custom leather legs.
Male biker stereotypes go from tiny racers to big burly blokes with beards, so the clothing follows this trend. Women, it's leggy thin birds and I'm neither particularly thin nor leggy.
I'm sure I could find some to fit, but whether I could then afford them is another question entirely. These kevlar jeans would offer me more protection than my normal jeans and at a reasonable price, that I could just about stretch to.
Thanks for the links guys. Icey, I checked the US draggin site, but now I think about it, it's completely obvious that the UK stockists would be on the Australian site. Why didn't I think about that?!

Rach, I have some, they are comfy.
I got the blokes combats, only because the girls jeans looked like Bon Jovi circa 1988!
I would recommened them, but possibly not for any serious riding, they are fine for potterig around etc.
Only trouble is they don't come in different lengths - but they are cotton, so can be shorterned for short rses like me.

FWIW have you tried Hein Gericke?
I know they do good textile jean type trousers. I use a pair of their black jeans during summer with the flexible hiptrotec armour, as I can still wear them in the office. From what I remember they do a good range of sizes as well. They also have some affordable leather jeans as well. ____________________ ...and the whirlwind is in the thorn trees, it's hard for thee to kick against the pricks...

Hmmm, looking at some of those pages, I can pick up leathers for a lot cheaper than I first thought. Maybe I'll have a better look round for some leathers, and just stick to my normal jeans for pootling into work (although I love the hood jeans you can wear at work, but unfortunately they only do them in men's sizes).
Thanks for all your help guys.
Oh, and I won't be going for the chaps

check out Hood.
https://www.hoodjeans.co.uk/
UK based (Norwich iirc) and better quality than Draggin imho.
I've got some Draggin Zip-offs, and they just don't fit right. when I spoke to Hood, looking for something specific, the guy apoligised they didn't do them, went off to check something while I was on the phone, then apoligised that they were short on Aramid (Kevlar is a brand name for Aramid) otherwise he could have made me up a pair.
Top service, and I'll be getting a pair from them soon.

Alright the Draggin jeans are very well made as is everything that is made in AUSTRALIA oh yeah, I had to put that in!
they are very tough, come in a range of colours and styles and if you happen to have a light fall and just scuff a small area you can send them back and have them repaired for $35 Australian or what like about 10 pounds
I like the camo cargo jeans myself
they sell for $200 Australian here in Bunbury Western Australia ____________________ Those bloody footpegs......they ought to do away with em! |

I live in Melbourne Australia, so I guess Im lucky, I can go direct to the draggin outlet and buy them cheap! I have 3 pairs and love them, much better in our hot summer's than sweaty leather's! ____________________ If you don't want to run with the big dogs...stay on the porch!
