The type where a sip of water even makes you want to chuck.

The thing is I didn't drink a huge amount last night, stuck to beer. No nasty shots at all.

I ate before drinking as well.

Why is it that 90% of the time I can drink a load of beer have a kip and wake up feeling fine the next morning then occasionally something like this happens?

Normally a cup of tea and a nice cooked breakfast is the way forward but I can't face it.

Now excuse me while I curl up and die.

you might have a virus.

I had a skinful last weekend, and was then sick for the rest of the week, so was my missus, who didn't drink.

Raging thirst all week, headache, and no energy at all, could just about manage to walk to the shop and back.

Was alright by Saturday morning. Had a skinful again yesterday, and right as rain by Sunday lunch.

So, there is some kind of lurgy doing the rounds right now I think.

Can't have been the pint, because otherwise it would have been the whole barrel, unless it was the glass, maybe it wasn't sterilized properly. My mate had something very similar just last week. Drank a few, went home to bed, got up the next day and felt like he was dying. He fell asleep at work... Twice! Next day he was right as rain. Could have just been a bug and the alcohol made it worse.

I don't get hangovers at all, forget the water thing. I keep the vitamin C thing in mind if I ever do feel crap, but to this day I've never had a hangover where I really just wanted to go back to bed. Mr. Green

A tip I got was to take milk thistle which comes in tablet form. It's meant to help liver function and act as an antioxidant. Seems to make a difference if I wake up feeling a bit groggy after a good night on the pop. Some also suggest you take one before you start drinking.
