You dont need a BS mark on silencer to pass the MOT
You do need a makers mark of some sort so that if the tester wants to he can check that the silencer is suitable for the machine, as specified by the manuyfacturer, but he'll only do this if the silencer is thought to be excessively noisy.
You cant have a silencer marked "For track use only"
as your silencers are stock equipt you wont have aproblem as long as theyre not excessively noisy.
Full explanation here if you want to read the testers manual
https://www.motuk.co.uk/mcmanual_620.htm
hope this helps ____________________ 1975 CB125s, 1991 GN250, 1990 Ducati Paso 906

Hi
It is not an MOT fail (used to be). Now if it is not stamped then it is up to the MOT testers opinion as to whether it is quieter than a standard exhaust in reasonable condition.
However, passing an MOT does not actually mean it is legal! And your Arrow exhaust, while not likely to be that loud (the Arrow silencer we had on a Cagiva Freccia was quieter than the stock silencer) it was not really designed to be legal.
And you need to connect up your speedo cable before the MOT .
All the best

I got the BS stamp being an MOT req. from a mechanic whos been out of it for a while with 30 years of his own business under his belt, but i think in the time hes been out of it has left his knowlage slightly out of date :p ...
Another problem is that speedo cable, lol, becuase im struggling with finding the correct part... Its the thread on the wheel side thats missing i think, but ive been told a whole new cable and connection set is needed, help on that would be great too hehe ...
BTW, how'd u know it was arrow?
**EDIT:**
Im guessing my pics are a givaway, i forgot they were there, got them mem of a gold fish lol ____________________ 2007 Kawasaki ZX10R :: 1998 Kawasaki ZX-9R - SOLD

I bought it on Ebay. Have a bad habit of buying Aprilia parts lists. I can try and scan it at some point for you.
Aprilia had the 125 Pegaso on their stand at the 1989 UK bike show.
If you need engine spares use Peter Knight on 0176 141 4106 ( https://www.rotax.co.uk ).

Hi
Chain and sprocket set I would not buy from Aprilia. Ring someone like B&C Express. If you really want them from Aprilia then the rear sprocket is part number 81 25 530 (£24.37) and the chain 81 07 053 (not listed anymore). Front sprocket is in the engine manual.
Which fairing pieces? Note that plastics are generally hideously expensive for any bike. Parts list I have covers the black bikes and the red bikes, and the part numbers will be different for your grey bike.
Left hand switch gear is 81 12 330 (£123+vat).
Rear brake light lense (assume that is the bit you mean) is 81 12 633 (£13.27).
All the best

Hay there, didnt realise Aprilia nparts were soo much...
Dont worry about the Fairings anymore, i might just sand em down and get it sprayed up.
As to the switch its only the little peice that stick out, that the rider pushes left and right for the direction on/off ...
The the front sproket, i dont have the engine manual either lol ...
I'll get onto B&C, are there any other co. you advise?
Thanks alot,
Luke. ____________________ 2007 Kawasaki ZX10R :: 1998 Kawasaki ZX-9R - SOLD

Hi
Not certain but I suspect the front sprocket is the same at the one used on the RS125. Take the front sprocket cover off and count the number of teeth. With that and knowing it is a Rotax 123 engine you should be able to source a front sprocket easily.
The button is not listed seperatly. Unfortunatly they do snap fairly easily, although very similar switchgear was used on loads of late 80s / early 90s Italian bikes, so you might be able to find the actual switch cheaply from a breakers. Note that the wiring will probably be different for any alternative sources of the same switch.
Those prices are not too bad to be honest compared to other makers.
All the best
