Today my pins/pelvic rack came off!!

Well, thought it was worth a post just to show you what it like to have one out and got some good pics and since everyone donated so kindy to get me back on the road i feel i owe it to you all Thumbs Up

Before i got the rack off

Got there 10ish and had x-ray and then got the doc to agree to have the rack off today and not 19th Razz . I didnt have any anesthetic or put to sleep so was quite painful Sick

The first two pins came off a treat, were really lose and came out by hand, these hurt a bit but was barable Thumbs Up

The other two needed a tool to come out, the first of these hurt load but i griped my teeth and managed to get it off without anything for the pain Shocked, he let me have a go at doing it but was too painful so told him to do it while i squeezed the nurse's hand way too tightly Laughing

The last pin was way too painfull though, it was unbarable so they gave me some gas (the gas they give women in labor). It was amazing and felt like i was really stoned but wore off after about 15mins, really took the edge off the pain and lets you focus on other things. I really dont think i would be able to have it out without this.

Me on the gas, i felt very high at this point and took pics of everything!! lol

I didnt hurt to walk after and was just a bit achy, i though it would have been more painful, it hurt loads but i didnt think i would be able to get though without much pain relief.

Well i thought i tell you all and if any of you break your pelvis due to bikes you now know what having the rack off it like......not nice!!!!

Oh and i took the pins home, i think i might frame them Laughing

As you can see they are 15cm each rod, that a lot when its in your pelvis!!

Yea just looked at the pic and looks like i really tried to get the scar in the pic but TBH i was well to f*cked to do that!!!

After i had lunch and got major hick-ups and was going to be the first time i could walk around the in public without people staring at me and were really bad hick-ups and made loads of noise. Must of looked like i had tourettes as kept making loud noises in middle of a sentance!!

Maybe tomorrow i will have my first outing when people are looking at me!!! *cough* my bday *cough* Laughing

Excellent stuff mate - I told you it hurt!

They didn't have any of the gas available when I went in, so I had to grin and bear it - was nearly as painful as being moved between the bed and CT scan a million times in the first week!

Shocked your joking right!?!? If it was anything like the 4th pin then i dont dont know the f*ck you did it!!! i tried doing it myself but couldnt, was just too painful, so i got the doctor to do it while i made random noises!! Normally i swear like when the cathitor came out but was such a sharp pain i made noises Shocked

Yea spend the evening with my GF which was cool and spending the day with her tomorrow Very Happy.
