He isn't the first, they keep all the pictures to spot patterns, like if its always the same time of day etc.
Copper accross the road told me they review them on a weekly basis and anyone 'takin the piss' will be prosecuted. They also use the new vans with the automated reg plate reader next to some cameras, then they review the logs for that day and any descriptions of vehicles that match the forward facing cameras picture. uh oh ____________________ Andy Sez....

Just read through that article, It's more than a bit of a joke to be honest.
Although even if the chips can not be removed via tampering surely purchasing a small number plate that many bike riders do would effectively stop you from getting fingered by whatever is used to track the chips. |

RFID is a joke for number plates , if you suspect your number plate of having an RFID chip in it , remove it , pop the plate (good thing bike plates are square) into a microwave over and give it a good 5 second blast @ 800watts , the RFID chip will die since by design they cannot be sheilded.
which if/when ID cards with RFID chips come in tin foil wallets will actually work (for once) ____________________ Spain 2008France 2007Big one 2009 We all die. How can they prove that another red 1150RT from somewhere else in the country perhaps even europe with extra spots and a sticker wasn't traveling past that speed camera? It's a long distance tourer, not a sports bike so long distances aren't out of the question. Therefore there would be nothing unusual about seeing a foreign bike in the country, let alone one from another part of the country, maybe even Scotland
In short, speed cameras are a national affair not area specific only - anyone can be caught. You must ask for them to submit hard evidence that your's is the ONLY bike in the COUNTRY like those photo's before you admit anything. |

maybe you should buy a different coloured helmet and leathers (off ebay and not with credit cards of course) , to confuse them a bit ,
I'm often seen with red and black textiles but due to having to clean them now and again am sometimes seen in blue leathers. ____________________ Spain 2008France 2007Big one 2009 We all die. I have to agree with EX3D they cant just go "there are only 3 bikes of this decription in the area" they have to have proof as to whose bike it was. Im going to uni in october, but im not going to change my V5, and countless others might not have. I think if they really are starting to do this, then whenever you arent in your area, give them some more photos to thumb through.
As for the RFID thing I heard they were planning to implement it with serious penalties for removing or tampering with the chip. bastards. ____________________ Bluespark Automotive - Diesel Tuning for Performance and Economy |

I think they will have simpler means of iding the bike:
1. If it is hi - res images they can match scratches/unique identifiers.
2. They might have had a camera van at the exit/entrance and gotten the rear plates.
3. They don't I believe need to have "hard" evidence, if you get proved beyond reasonable doubt then you will probably get a ban (I don't know but ask the lawyers around here)
4. The motorway/police van have cctv cameras, it is possible they could have waited and caught him, say going into work/supermarket etc.
I for once wouldn't foolishly go through any camera doing stupid s*it as it encourages them to do more extreme things like monitor your rear number plates on exit and ban/heavily fine people. ____________________ "You don't know the power of the dark side." |
