Test rant...

Im pissed off.

Got my theory test booked for the 4th of July and i really want to book a practical test but they wont let me until i've done the theory

My mate has done his theory and he booked his test yesterday for the 9th of August, which is when i would like to do mine, but by the time i have done the theory there probably wont be any free slots so i will end up waiting till September/October atleast

always shocks me when i see ALOT of ppl on here with a "BIG" bike in there avator then they gotta do there theory/test

i swear theres more ppl on here who AINT got a FULL licence

well spose it is bike CHAT forum

i did mine in august/september time so its worse cause of the dodgy weather but @ same time can help you to learn all weathers

good luck either way but theory is pretty piss really its the practical thats the harder part

Good luck with your test Jay! Gotta retake mine 20 years later from passing the first couple (long story and involves licence robbing DVLA geekless computer nerd bastards, but wont bore you with that!).

You've just got to be flexible.

If you were prepared to do it anytime, anyday (i believe saturday tests cost more) i'd bet you could get a slot within 2 weeks of passing the theory.

Imagine this.....you pass your part II (as they used to be called ) in 1990.....you think nothing more of it, and ride what you like for many years, gain experience, come off with few grazes and dents.....

You decide because you are pregnant some years later that you ought to play safe, so you hang up your lid, and be a mum for a while.

Your kid is now 6 and its time to get real and just get back on the bikes! - so you have no problem other than your dear ma has cleared her loft of brand new shoei helmet (twice worn) and reasonable leathers that were newish, and boots that were fecked but safe..........without telling you

You think thats annoying? NOOOOOO

The annoying bit is you go to send your driving licence off to DVLA to change address because you have moved recently......its back within a week...fab service...

Only one thing wrong......

YOUR BIKE CATEGORY IS FUCKING MISSING!!

And having made enquiries, shitty phone calls, and trying to find somewhere that may have your copy test pass from all those years ago is fruitless and you have to take your theory, CBT! and test AGAIN! at your cost and time.........

there is a way round it
book the practical online, and put any old nonsense in when they ask for the theory pass certificate code

the online system doesnt check it

if you fail your theory, cancel your practical

as long as you produce a theory pass certificate on the day of your practical, you should be ok

if they have the nonsense code on file on the day, you just say there was a mix up, if they arent happy, you book another practical

you could even book another practical when you get your theory code just in case there is a problem with the other, then cancel it if necessary
