You've probably got better sources of info from me, but I expect you won't need to brake on the startfinish straight at all.
Should be able to leave braking very late on the Revvet straight as well - only a tap for you I would have thought, then trail through the corner.

Have fun Smile.

aye should be good. Weather looks promising (crosses fingers) and its nice just to ride the things around and not be under any pressure. It looks quite fast with those couple long straights so I'll probably be under geared from today. I was at Darley more today and it was showing 186km/h down the straights on the logger. Might be about right?

Sounds fairly reasonable - generally you probably want it so that it maxes out for a little bit on the straights, this it seems is faster as you can get there quicker so stay ahead of those that have a higher top speed, but only /just/ hit it - and of course you should have a bit better go for coming out of the corners.

Oh and corams should be *fun* on a GP bike, though it is a tad bumpy Confused.

Also try and stay online at Riches (first corner), as there's a tarmac change if you go to wide which rather unsettles the bike.

Well I had a good day today. Really enjoyed it. Though Im suprised at how hard it is on tyres. Its the corner after the bombhole which I was taking in 5th gear pinned lol, it just shreds the front tyre on the right side. They where B compound slicks tho, so they weren't really gonna stand up to 2 and a half hours of punishment.

Its a quite easy track to learn, the only bit that nearly caught me out was the very tight right hander after you go under the bridge. You were nearly right about the braking for that. You do very little braking in a straight line with most of it been done going around the corner. Riches is very bumpy especially on a 75kg bike which rock hard suspension.

It was undergeared, but only by one tooth on the rear. It was logging 203kph lol which is 128mph!! Not bad for 39.4 rear wheel horsepower lol!

I was doing 1:19's when the tyres where still alright about mid day. Even when they were to shreds I was doing 1:20's and 1:21's, but thats because im getting better with the circuit, what I made up with corner speed early on I made back with braking and set up towards the end. With fresh tyres I would have hoped to go a bit quicker still.

Anyway learned a few things about engine setup gearing etc, so has been a good day. And also got used to the track.

I did a track day at Snetterton on the 14th June - first ever! Really enjoyed it but you're right about the tyres getting a little warm on the right handers Smile
