Personally I'd change the tyre ASAP. I wouldn't want the thought of my tyre going down while I'm thrashing it along some twisties. I wouldn't be able to enjoy my riding until I had it changed.
Repairing it may be fine but still I wouldn't do it for the reasons above.
I'm not saying that's what you must do - it's just what I'd do |

ive got a nail in my rear tyre at the moment. its not leeking air and its been there for a month or so. i rag the pants off of it and it hasnt moved.
my mat hasnt bought a new tyre fo a long time. he gos round to a nearby bike shop and picks up nearly new tyres with nails in them and gets them plugged and fitted. he rides a bandit 600 and has never had any problems with plugs blowing out even with all the burnouts he doas.
its realy the choice of the rider, and what he or she feels comfortable with ____________________ Its better to live your life for one hour as a tiger, Than it is to live your whole life like a worm.

Im with sickpup on this one.
My ER5 rear tyre was riddled with nails. I never had a blow out. Maybe I was lucky. If I didnt do that I'd be replacing them every week!
I was told by my tyre place that whist not ideal can get away with riding with a nail in the tyre. When the rubber heats up, it expands creating a tight seal aruond the nail so there's little chance of air escaping. ____________________ Like a Yorkie - I'm not for the girls |
