I'd be very suprised if the plastic tube is marking your metal sprocket. Problem I found with them was the tube closing up cos of heat against the sprocket. ____________________ Enjoy Life There's Plenty of Time to be Dead

Another for the dual injector. Much easier to move into position and much less faffing. The tube can bu twisted to alter the gap from the sprocket. I have mine directly over the O-rings. ____________________ https://www.bikepics.com/members/fuzzbcf/

Rubbing on the sprocket is no big deal and that's the best place for it so that the oil is forced into the chain with the centrifugal force rather than coating everything else on your bike.
If it's doing it's job then leave it be.
