As to the camera being hidden. That is irrelevant. Cameras being visable is merely a guideline that those running the cameras are free to ignore when they feel like it. Only thing is that they should not get the revenue from a hidden camera (although they are specifically allowed to hide a certain percentage of cameras). Has no effect on the speeding ticket at all.

Best bet is to go along to Pepipoo and have a good read up.

Visibility of fixed site enforcement cameras (including digital cameras):
All camera housings (existing and new) should be visible to road users and not obscured behind bridges, signs, trees or bushes. The minimum visibility distance should be 60 metres where the speed limit is 40 mph or less and 100 metres for all other limits.

I think the reason the speed camera is there is due to the fact there is a staggered junction up ahead, which looks as though it could be a bit blind, so you was probably a little stupid to be doing 70 along there anyway.

Think about it like this. Bushes provide EXCELLENT cover.

Borrow a cordless hammer drill with a metal drill bit.

Drill in near the top (looks like its quite low and on hedge so should be easy). Fill with petrol through drilled hole. Bottle with tube attached, turn upside down to empty petrol. Add abit of oil/polystyrene first if you want to be extra sure it burns well.

If you have a spare tyre kicking about add that. But the objective is to destroy the film inside the unit (which you never know might not have actually been in there, they still flash).

Either way, FILL with lots and lots of petrol, light, covertly bugger off.

Oh, and take down the pictures/desc of where this camera is first before some helpful cunt (the type who grass on people using their hose to the waterboard Rolling Eyes

) spots its torched and tells the fuzz.
