Remember this thread, where I praised the Met/CJU for sorting out a court SNAFU and cancelling a summons?
Well, guess what? It looks like they just cancelled me attending it, and not the actual court date going ahead!
I received a letter today telling me that I am a convicted criminal! Yay! That's only going to get me suspended from work while I sort it out!
Useless tax-wasting WEASELS!
I've been convicted (in my absence) for not having insurance at the time of the crash, despite the fact that I'm holding the certificate for that period in my hand, and have faxed it to the CJU admin drone handling my case!
Now I've got to take tomorrow off work, and if I can't sort it out by close of play, tell them the score and see if I have to take a few days enforced gardening leave while they look into it! ____________________ >Soultrader Mister James, I bet you are a copper

I got a call saying some women was coming over to take about restrictions AGAIN after they said they werent persuing it due "my suffering enough with my injuries" or somthing like that
She didnt come due to a serious accident happening and now i just have to wait months maybe more till they ring again.
What a joke, and i hope you get it sorted  ____________________ 99 RS125 --> 02 SV650s --> 03 Speed Four --> 92 RXS100 --> 93 CB400sf --> 01 CB600f Hornet |

My thoughts are that individuals within the system are often fair, courteous and employ their common sense, doing what they can to help you out. Once matters proceed beyond their remit, some peon further down the chain decides that them exercising their judgement was a mistake, and enforces the letter of the law where it was not appropriate.
I think it's often a result of the fact that most of these jobs are now done by civilian support staff, rather than sworn officers. I understand the financial implications, but better trained staff who are used to dealing with people face-to-face are usually more confident about employing their discretion and deciding when to come down on you like a ton of bricks, and when not to.
It's a poor example, but at work we often find that officers transferring over to Residential from areas where they have little contact with our guests are often extremely strict and end up causing problems with their tyrannical decisions.
Those of us with experience working with the scrotes are happier to make a call over whether the fella is lying/taking the piss/a danger to others, or whether it's all just an honest misunderstanding easily corrected with a firm warning.
Likewise, someone who works in an office feeling second-fiddle to the sworn officers will want to enforce their 'authority' to cover up their lack of experience or any real power.
Sucks to be us!
I've jut rang the woman up again, given her the court numbers, and she's off sorting them out for me. It does look like it's a CPS error rather than the CJU, but the result is equally crappy for me! ____________________ >Soultrader Mister James, I bet you are a copper

Any chance of you getting compensation for loss of earnings/emotianl distress?
IMO certainly worth asking, sending off a letter. If you don't ask then you certainly will not get. ____________________ ...and the whirlwind is in the thorn trees, it's hard for thee to kick against the pricks...

just goes to show, the "you have nothing to fear if you dont do anything wrong" line often used when strengthening the laws arm against the individual is assuming a perfect system yet the system is far from perfect.
obviously your status within it will help get this sorted out, and if not, maybe some ppl off bcf will come visit you in prison (joke) ____________________ colin1 is officially faster than god |

i have had a couple of "instances" with the police where i am completely innocent.
i explained the situation (one regarding insurance, one regarding my MOT certificate) and they still did everything in their power to proscecute me.
they failed though - as said, i was innocent. what a waste of my tax paying money
sometimes i think this world would go into chaos without them, but considering that everything they touch turns corrupt/gets worse. maybe it would be an improvement if the pigs just gave up and went home.

read in the paper the other day that the some lad had his bike nicked and these scrotes were taking it up and down the street in turns. He rang the police who came out but didnt make chase when the one riding hurtled off. They explained to the lad they couldnt chase because the one riding didnt have a helment and would end up hurt if he fell off and spouted out some crap about human rights.
