You propablyneed to replace the light bulb on the right. Samething happened to me. There is two curcuits inside the bulb, which means that the high beam can work even if theother one is broken.

You sure you're talking about dipped beam?
on mine and my mate's new NSR's on the first setting only 1 of the smaller bulbs came on. dipped beam both main bulbs were on. high bea and both were on high. another mate's 2nd hand NSR had both smaller lights on when side lights were on. there's no problem with the bike-it just depends on who built it. most bikes just have the 1 bulb on but it doesn'#t matter either way. during the day just use the sidelights, never full beam. sidelights help with the visibility problem but it doesn't create a beam. using dipped beam during the day can be hazardous, if you hit even a small bump a car waiting to pull out could take it as a flash, so they pull out in front of you-beware!

Dont bother buying a new bulb yet!

Sometimes the connection gets a bit loose are gits a bit od grit on it.

Just take out the bulb clean both parts where it connects and ya should be fine.
