Just in the process of ordering the latest adittion to the BUSA, a dry nitrous system to give it another 20-40 bhp.
It will be activated by a PTT button from my 'Autocom' pack....(i'll not connect it to the Autocom though Rolling Eyes ....."chat chat chat whoooooosh")

Should be installed by August Cool

You can fit one to any bike.

I'd reconsider the dry kit. Maybe bikes can get away with it but on cars, a dry kit usually results in fuel starvation. The standard fuel system just can't keep up. I suppose if you don't plan on upping the power too much it will cope. The fittings look a bit mickey mouse too on that kit.

Thinking A NOS kit on my CBR125R...

I'de rather spend the money on a 180cc malossi kit TBH.

But, IMO, a bore up would be cheaper and would be a constant power increase rather than a temporary one that runs out and need refilling every so often.

With the money you could get a hundred or so cc put in on top and bigger sprockets for the bigger speed. Thumbs Up

More power all the times means more wear all the time as well.

On a CBR125? Why not just get a RS125 or similar Confused* - a lot lower level of tune for a fair bit more power.

* or of course a bigger bike

I was joking, I wouldn't want to fit one to mine or any bike myself, speed does nothing for me. John just knows that on a typical North Crew Ride-out we can all out corner him even on bikes with less than half the power so he has to find other ways to beat us Wink Laughing

Power isn't all about big CC, a rebore won't do anything like a NOS kit. The bike is plenty fast enough for 99% of my riding, the kit will be simply 'Because i can' and for 'Straighliner events' & 'run what ya brung'.

What year was the BUSA you rode, i have ridden one or 2 that didn't set my pants on fire but this thing is TBH a bit of a handfull, i'll see what its putting out on the 25th on the dyno.

Good question with a weird answer from me.

A bit off topic but here we go.

Ever since I've riden bikes (about 2 years now), I've always liked seeing the faces of people in shock.

My 1st bike was a Yamaha YQ100. I tunes it to the eye-balls. I had everything on it apart from a bore-up to a 125cc which my mate had. I even got it to do 85mph (indicated of coarse) which is bloody fast for a 100 scooter.

I used to love it when I was doing 85mph, going flat out on the A19, passing cars and seeing people's faces as a SCOOTER over takes them. Most of the time they get the 'small penis syndrome' and speed up to overtake again. Laughing

Thr reason I bought the CBR125R is that it is a 4T and is always underestimated even though they have potential. I've seen CBR125R race bikes that have reached 35BHP. Of coarse, mine will not reach that unless I get it converted to 2T somehow, but, it is nice when I fly past DTs and overtake RSs doing 85mph+ when they are doing 70mph or something. The only way I can describe the look is:

'WTF, that souldn't be right'.

That's why I got the CBR125R.

So what does your riding consist of? If it isn't constant very high speeds and need from power then the hyabusa isn't the bike you need.

I don't need to explain my reasons for owning it but i have it because its not going to bore me, it handles very well 2 up, cruises nice, tours, kicks ass. Its a whole package for me as i don't like little sports bikes, neither does my pillion.
I can't do 200mph at Elvington on a trail bike nor on an NSR125.
The BUSA gives me everything i want, the gas kit will give me the extra rush top end for the quarter mile and top speed at the events.
The bike also gives a dramatic rush of power on exit from the corners, so much that it eats rear tyres in a shade over 1000 miles Mr. Green . Ride one, then come back and tell me why its the wrong bike.

So, owning a CBR125R automatically means I havn't riden anything bigger.

Well, smart arse, I have and in fact I have riden a busa and IMO they are big clumsy things than are not much use on the road and are better suited to the track to get the most of their attributes.

lol, trust me.....if i still had my (standard) RS125 i would love to meet up and go for a rag down some country lanes and show you that NO your CBR couldnt bet it or to that fact 90% of the RS125's on the road.

You may be able to beat 10% of them if your a good rider as some are quite inexperienced and slow and not able to use all the extra power they would have than your CG erm sorry i mean CBR Wink

Not having a dig by any means just cant see a CBR125 "owning" RS125s on the road if the riders are around the same ability Thumbs Up

I never mentioned owning any RS125s. I didn't even mention racing one.

I said: 'I like the faces on the riders of them when I over take them doing 85mph+ while they are doing 70mph.

Which, means to say, the RS may be riding along nicely doing 70mph and suddenly a "CG with fairing" is doing something it is not supposed to be going past at a faster speed than it is. Which, be honest now, isn't something a RS owner sees unless they can't get past 3rd gear.

Well that a bit of a better statment i get you. Im not going to comment on the top-speed of a CBR125 as never rode one/with someone riding one but i was under the impression that the 13bhp 4t 125cc engine werent that quick, accelation past 50mph isnt great either.

I just think you would enjoy a RS125 so much more, i loved mine as so fun to ride. Great handling aswell Thumbs Up

The acceleration past 50mph isn't much but it does get to top speed at a steady rate. Well, mine does anyway. Even though the acceleration is still slowly pulling the bike up to top speed you can't really fell it.

The top speed of my bike when I bought it (brand new) was an indicated 85mph. But, I didn't have it there for long as I fitted new sprockets that had the potential to go faster but at the time, due to only 13.3BHP, didn't have the power to get it past 70mph. Now I have made a few changes, a few mods, a little bit of tuning and now it has that bit more power to pull it up to an indicated 97ishmph with about <500rpm to go before redline. At the minute, im saving for some more new things and bits that will give me more power and reduce net weight because I want to reach and indicated 100mph!!. Laughing

Edit/ also, if I can get more power out of it I will be fitting a bigger rear sprocket to get more speed or reach my highest speed at a lower rpm.

LOL, you haven't been out for a ride on one of these at all, you have, at the most, been down your street on one.
No one in the right frame of mind is gonna give the keys to you with a provisional licence and riding a 12hp 125 Honda.....
'Chatting shit' springs to mind.

Its a sports tourer 'NUMPTY' not a track bike...

The point is, I have riden one and that is my OPINION!

They are better suited to the track in my OPINION because as you implyed, when one the roads can you get the most out of it.

You can slag me all you want but you might aswell be talking to the fucking wall because you talk as if you know me. The owner of the busa was a good friend of mine who trusted me FYI and since when as having a provisional ment you can't handle more than 13BHP. That's like saying people who un-restrict their 600 from 33hp can't possible handle the bike.

Your the numpty. I don't have a car licence but I have driven a lotus elise around a track!

I've explained how they do it.

Call it a CG all you want. Take the piss, I don't care.

Edit/ I will admit! ATM it does require a bit of a bank for it to reach the indicated 95mph, but, as soon as I have all my parts on and have finished doing eveything, it should reach it on a straight as long as there is no wind.
