We're looking for old, dead engines for a feature we're putting together.

We're doing an 'autopsy' on engines that have gone bang for the mag, and will have experts take them apart and let you know what happened and how to prevent it.

Does anyone have any engines kicking about they want rid of? You'll get yourself in Bike, and we'll tell you what went wrong.

Cheers.

Khal.

I think I've got an old TT600 engine knocking about, although I might just still have the head. I'll have a look! Smile

Unfortunately (or should that be fortunately) it's not one of mine. But that's what a turbo running 25psi and a 150 shot of nitrous does when strapped to a standard 2L Ford probe engine. Laughing

Still, it lasted nearly 50 full boost 1/4 miles. Karma

Brick Wall

Would have loved to see the inside of the ZXR engine after the ticking and subsequent explosion that killed it.

Mines running at the moment, but i could whack it on the dyno and destroy it for you. About time it ate itself again.

theres no way you can do that without a ton of cash , vintage engines like one I saw for me NTV with 40K are going for £150,

the only feasible way would be to use 125 engines , you can get old knackered CGs for a few quid , but you'd be hard pushed to get that to blow up , unless you get toby to sit on it.

Hi

Think we have the bottom end of a CB125T engine which snapped a con rod.

Few other dead engines but I need them back.

All the best

Ex Durex Suzuki GSXR750RK crank that blew a big end but I think Nigel and Mick would kill you and it's been rewelded.

GSXR1100 that blew a big end but I know why it did it.

Thing is I need all the blown up engines I have and could tell you why they went.

I've got a dead engine from a ZZR1200, but I know what caused it. The chain snapped and wrapped itself around the front sproket, shattering the crank case Embarassed

Still, you are welcome to it if you want it Thumbs Up
