Am I the only one who doesn't see the fascination with the Millau viaduct?

It's hardly set in the most scenic part of Southern France - There are places far more beautiful and serene only a few valleys away. The bridge itself is architecturally boring and bland - Just the same as any motorway viaduct. Yeah it's pretty long and pretty high, but not really in a dramatic way. Interesting to look at for all of about 2minutes, but then I felt the need to go and do something more interesting such as riding the twisty and scenic D-somethingorother road heading east out of Millau.

What sort of camera do you use Nath?

That picture looks like it was taken in the 70's, not just because of the bike but the quality and shading. Laughing Thumbs Up Quite like it really.

Embarassed

It's about 10years old, but I was today told that it's due to poor quality film that's caused that and all the other photos on the same roll to come out so bad. Hopefully some other rolls of film will come out a little better (I bloody well hope so because it'll be a waste of 70 bloody quid if they're all as crap as that!).

If you leave your film laying about for too long (ie. months on end) it'll start to degrade, as well. Thumbs Up

Certainly looks like a film issue - doesn't seem to be an issue with focus or anything, just excessive grain. But if you have an ISO selector, make sure it's on the right setting for your film Mr. Green

I was wary of wind but it wasn't that bad at all, not as bad as the Severn crossing bridges can be. Have had much worse wind on normal autoroutes.

They have the plastic barriers at the side which help cut out cross winds, and the view Sad

Have to say I don't remember noticing any big plastic barriers, were they transparent? I could see the views fine.

transparent ish.... They distorted everything, but they were only just over waist height. They did seem to stop the wind on the day we were there (it was quite windy).
