A few of my thoughts. I know they are a bit blunt so please don't take offense. I just feel someone needs to take the plunge and say what needs to be said.

Arrow I don't see why you would want a 50 before getting a 125 if you are able to ride a 125 in the first place.

Arrow It's not as if a 125 is a large capacity sports bike that will surprise you with it's power over a 50.

Arrow If you are that worried about riding a bike then why are you even considering a race rep with side farings? You will drop it and break all that plastic instantly loosing your money.

Arrow Might i suggest you save your money and buy a nice cheap 4 stroke 125 like a honda cg125. It will do 60mph all day long with no risk of it going bang (like a 2 stroke does...a lot) and it will be much easier for you to learn how to use gears before doing your main test and getting your license. (which should be your aim)

I'm assuming "brought" meant "bought", in which case you already have the bike, which makes me think you are selling this bike.
As it says you bought that tzr, and are now "ready for a 125", this makes me think you are selling it to get a 125
And then you say that you haven't viewed the bike, and if it isn't up to scratch, you won't buy it, this obviously makes me think that you are buying a bike which you already have.

Confused

OH OH OH, just clicked, that writing was the advert which the seller wrote wasn't it Embarassed

Well, how far advanced are you? licence etc?
Get a 125 instead of that if it is a suitable scenario though, much better.
p.s. for that TZR, it is a very good price.

It's a good price for the bike, but I rode one and they are sorely underpowered. I suspect a very small person could get 60mph but the lad who owned the one I rode had his de-restricted and it wouldn't top 50. He was a big lad though.

It looks fairly good for the money, but...

After doing my CBT when I was 17, I was half tempted by a cheap 50 in a local salvage yard because I'd thought the 125's seemed quite fast.

Luckily I read some reviews on said bike, didn't go for it and eventually got a 2-stroke 100. Within a few weeks I was on top of the speed and realised buying the 50 would have been a bad move.

Hand

Hold out for a 125, you will only regret buying a 50cc days later.

Def get a 125 the 50 will bore you soon and sound terrible. Since when does a 50cc do 65mph? Shocked

Anders is right you will be changing the gears every5mph and will annoy you when you get used to it. Plus hills will be interesting on a 50cc they dont like hills.

Nice looking bike but better off 125cc.

Umm her question was 'is it a good deal' ... not 'shall i get a 50 or a 125'

My opinion, any bike with 12 months tax and MOT for that money is a good deal if it's mechanically sound, so i'd get it mechanically checked because IT'S ONLY A 50 AND WILL WORK HARD TO COVER THE SAME MILEAGE AS A 125 .... Lmao. Wink

Idealy I would like a 125. Faster, and Ill be able to do Portsmouth to Brighton quicker.
But, Money is the problem. I needa bike NOW lol. i cant stand the thought Of having no bike (And mines only been gone 4 hours)
600 Is ok for me. But most 125 hit the grand mark.
May sound bad but I dont want an old CG.
If I drop the bike, I drop it. lesson lernt.

I could also see a profit in the TZR also. Alot on Ebay go for around 800-1000.

As for my licence. Just a CBT - Never riden a geared bike. End of September is the next avalible slot for me to pratice on a Geared, at the price of 50-75 quid. Which I feel is just wasting cash for 2 hours.

If gears bother you that much, 50 quid plus is a worthy investment and wouldn't take to long to recover.....

That one looks like an "honest" bike. I'd be much happier buying that than the orange thing. £700 buy it now is realistic BUT get an insurance quote first - they can be terribly expensive to insure.
