I'm 'out of touch' with appreciating modern bike cosmetics.

What do you think of this?

I think it looks horrible.

I'm just getting old and like paintwork to be easy on the eye, thus reducing the risk of the onset of a migrane...

Mmmm. Nice.

Pity about the cruddy lod engine underneath. Confused

Unless it's not an ancient 400cc bike with a fairing kit on that I think it is. Confused

not a fan of tyga stuff.....but i like the colours and it would probably grow on me.

thought you were after a 30 though?thats a mix and match got an rvf front end i think......not sure if you would be happy with it,happier than with the blade.....but not as happy as you'd be with a smart standard looking 30.

would you be happy with the quality of tyga bodywork over standard oe honda stuff?

Certainly an improvement on the outdated looking origional. Needs to be fitted and painted well though, it's not easy to get a satisfactory result with aftermarket grp.

im i right in thinking that thats either a vfr 400 with USD forks on and a fairing kit

or a rvf 400 with a faring kit on

OR (realy would im press me but then id tell you not to buy it coz it would of looked 100 time better in original fairing, even tho i dont think this will be the one) is it a vfr750r with a fairing kit on and modern USD forks

Like Honda? Wink

I quite like the look of it, despite the blue, but the build quality of Tyga stuff is so often called into question I wouldn't go for it.

I think it looks like a polished turd! Whats the difference between this and a chav corsa with a whale tale and a set of alloys. Not much deffrence between doing this to a bike and chaving a car up if you ask me.

Imangine trying to describe it to the insurance company if you have an accident. Not worth the trouble and i think it wouldn't be as rewarding as having a mint standard NC30 or 35 you could clean up as nicely as you do.

I happen to like the colour - personally, I see Tamada's bike as the most stylishly stunning coloured bike on the current MotoGP grid. It's a white Honda after all...

I guess I'm not sure whether I definitely prefer it over a stock shaped one. I'm also unsure whether the quality would adhere to my scrutiny - although I have been out on a couple of rideouts with a red/black one and does look pretty flash - nice and different too.

Is this a case of two wheeled Marmite?

As for it being a 400, that's irrelevant. I'm buying another V4 400 whatever the case.

The bike's also got potential, I'm envisioning more carbon, a few more trick parts, sorted suspension, a dab of polish here and there...

Rvfs/Vfrs are best left alone, those fairings just look like a cheap import 125.

i think that the fairing looks sweet, and wheels are nice but the blue is 2 much, but with a better paint scheme and some nice finishing touches it would be sweet as a nut Thumbs Up

The main letdown for me is the seat unit. The back end is too bulbous compared to the skinng rider's seat. The seat pad itself also looks like an afterthought. A rear end from a 'blade or 600rr would look 10x better, simply due to the proportions.

Apart from that, 'tis teh sex! The original concept RC211V look with the fluorescent red/black wing is by far the sexiest look.

see here

Bottom line is, I'm getting an NC30, in one form or another. I'm not interested in unuseable/irrelevant big bore sports bikes for my uses and I don't get anything out of the mundanity of the 600 class. Just wondering whether I should opt for this, or go hunt down a standard one. Thinking

This is J.P.'s bike, who I've been on a couple of 400 rideouts with. Does look good, although I prefer the Konica kolours.

I think it's that rear seat, just looks cheap.

If you're going to do it then at least keep somthing VFR like this lad.

It's not something I'm planning on doing myself - the work has already been done and someone wants to part-ex it for my Blade.

That NC30's nice, that's a CBR6RR rear tail, not a Tyga one. I kind of see such work as either all or nothing, not overly keen on half-halfs.
