Isn't stress also a cause of them?

Try Bonjela (sp?) or some people swear by very salty water on them.

I find that lack of sleep/being run down means I get them quite a lot.

If I get one that's really annoying I have to reach for the bottle of TCP and blitz it, gone within 48 hours then! Laughing Cool (Stings like a bitch when you do it though)

Have you changed the water that you drink recently?

It may be worth changing to drinking bottled water from tap or vice versa...

I had one a few months back under my tougue near the stringy bit...RIGHT UNDER where my tougue bar sits. Was so painful to talk, eat or just generally move my mouth.

I found it best to put bongella on every half hour to an hour as it really numbs its, and helps it go away apprently!!

Then i got one just in a normal place and really didnt feel painful compared!!

As said before, mouthwash or just rubbing salt directly into them will sort them in a couple of days.

Hurts when you do it, but it does work.

Listerine just fixed one I've got at the moment. I get them from slipping with the toothbrush and stabbing my gums. Just got to nick the skin and then you only need a couple germs to get in to ulcerate it.
