well been seeing her over a year now, and all is fine, but tonight id planned a 'romantic' night in to suprise her, she turns round and says im going to my mates (chel) for a drink, can i have a lift.

she doesnt go out much so i let it slide, a little miffed naturally.

whilst sat there shes tarting herself up, okay i may of been a tad wrong to look at her phone, but if she didnt have anything to hide.. i read her messages, it read
"hey, ye well go to the friers and get wasted, crooky and his bro are coming, well have a flirt"

i asked her why she lied and didnt tell me, she went mental for me looking at her phone, i told her she can get a taxi and went home.

then i got a txt saying im not ringing you this is your fault.

help? or a reasuring word please.

Maybe its coz i'm a girl, but i'd also be proper pissed off if my BF looked at my phone, more for the reason that he didn't trust me than for reading any messages i may have. Flirting is natural, and as dragonfly said, its makes people feel good about themselves. It doens't naturally mean that they're gonna go and jump in bed with everyone they meet.

Lying however, is a different matter. And i have no answers for that. One may assume she didn't wanna worry you? Just playing devils advocate really as i don't know either of you. Just may be worth looking at the possibilities before jumping to the worst conclusions Not condoning lying but just thinking of other posibilities

Once one lie is told it breaks the trust, i am in the same situation and find it hard to trust currant bf and it is rocky because of that.

IMO things will change after this as you will doubt what she says in furure and she will get annoyed at it but it is her fault fr lying. What is you never read that txt message? what would have happened? and you would not know these fellas would be there and to be honest thats like her laughing in your face. Do yuo think she is making a fool of you? what if you hear stuff one day like someon drops it into a convo that a certain man was there at the party and she said there where no men?
