Just watched Sin City last night and thought it was brilliant. Loads of smooth talking, sexy women and plenty of violence. I especially liked the way it was made, very artistic Eh?

There's my half-attempt at a review... Anyone else?

Snakes on a plane, all you have to do is hear the title and you basically already know the entire story line. Pretty poor film to be honest, waste of £6 Neutral

Last film I saw was a Japanese one on FilmFour on Saturday night.."Audition"...it was crap basically. About some guy who sets up an audition to find a girlfriend. Chooses one who seems really nice, but in reality she is a crazy mofo. She cuts people's limbs of with chicken wire (feet, hands, heads, tongues). Anyway she drugs the guy and ties him up, then sticks long needles in his body. After that then she uses chicken wire just above the ankle to cut the mans foot off. Man's son comes in and kicks her down some stairs. End of movie.

Tokarev's Reccommended Movies

Arrow Ong Bak - Movie with very good stunts and martial arts (Muy Thai)
Arrow Old Boy - Korean movie about a guy getting revenge...but with a really good twist.
Arrow Man on Fire - Denzel Washington in search of a kidnapped young girl. Nice revenge techniques used.
Arrow Lord of War - Nicholas Cage is an arms dealer. Good insight into the world of arms dealing.
Arrow Training Day - Denzel Washington and Ethan Hawke are cops in a movie about drugs and gangs. Interesting twist to it.
Arrow Collateral - Tom Cruise and Jamie Fox. Cruise is a hitman who uses a cab (driven by Jamie Fox) to go around killing people on his list. Jamie Fox tries to stop him.
Arrow Last of the Mohicans - Movie about the war in America between the British and the French and how the native Indian tribes were involved.
Arrow The Last Samurai - Tom Cruise gets captured by Samurai and turns into one. Shows the last struggle of the Samurai.
Arrow Gladiator - (Everyone knows this)

There is probably more that I can't think of right now.

Superman, it was ok. I was hoping for something a bit more "special"

As i've been feeling Sick the last couple of days ive spent 2 days watching films with the duvit (how i say it) on the sofa. Ive watched:

The Ant Bully - Good family cartoon type film about a little boy who is shrunk to the size of an ant. Dont think i could ever step on an ant again

The Shaggy Dog Great family comedy about a man who is bitten by a 300 year old dog and starts to turn into one. Lorra laughs

Scary Movie 4 Self explanatory really. Quite funny actually

RV Hilarious comedy about a family vavation on an RV (bit like a camper van)

Davinci Code Tough to get into as i was watching one with japanese subtitles, but good film all the same

That pretty much sums up the films ive seen in the last 24hrs then Laughing

Own them both and have to agree.....

Miami Vice.....WANK...

And I dug out Dog Soldiers yesterday, if you haven't seen it by now I suggest you do, as I'm sure many people on here will agree...

Dog Soldiers.....FTW.

As for the Davinci Code, I brought the book the other week and 'Angels and Demons' ( Where you first meet Langdon ) and I couldn't put it down, all 620 pages were read in eight hours...Really good book recommend it to anyone, just got to read T-D-C now and get his other books.....

The DaVinci Code book was such a pile of poorly-written tat that I couldn't stomach the film.

Superman was pretty good, but I share the view that it should have somehow been a bit more 'special'. Pirates II was the same, raised a few smirks but was just basically more of the same.

Lucky Number Slevin was quite clever, I enjoyed that quite a bit.

"Hostel" on DVD

A few good bits of gore but felt a bit disappointed overall. The trailers for the film promised much more than was actually delivered. Watchable but over-rated.

Last film I watched was Goodfellas, the 3rd best film I've ever watched but the 5th or 6th time I'd seen it. Wink

Last 'new' film I saw was Inside Man, a half-decent thriller with a good story and a crap ending.

watched "the big lebowski" earlier today as finished work early

first time i'd seen it, has been sat on my shelf for months with my reading the blurb and going "err, dont feel like that"

but it was actually really good, thriller/comedy type thing but not really either, totally pointless content when you get to the end, but very well put together and entertaining, comes about 150 on internet movie database top 250 films i believe

Must be catching I've been confines to quarters also, so I watched couple of war classics Battle of Britain and The Great Escape which I really enjoyed. Am looking forward to the remake of the DamBusters, only to see how the Americans won that as well.

"The Hard Corps"

If a 14 year old had written this film in half a week for a drama project, because they had forgotten it was supposed to be in at the end of the week; I'd give it a C+.

Otherwise, it's truely terrible!

Quote:

Indeed.

Then I read another rip-off book that was even worse Confused (though this doesn't detract from the cack-ness of the original, I should mention).
A particular bit that annoyed me from this other book went something along the lines off...
"He had a Honda 600cc sports motorcycle and a powerful moto-guzzi 1100".
"Jumping onto the Honda he kick started it into life ..."

First off, I doubt a moto-guzzi ever had more power than a Honda sports 600 and I'm not aware Honda did kick start models on it's Sports 600s Rolling Eyes.
At least a little bit of thought on the basics so we have a slight belief in the intentionally fictional please...
