I was looking at those jack up extensions on ebay last night for the FZR. Not sure what the ride would be like though as it just an extended shock support Confused

Everybike has different ways of 'jacking up' some are shortened dog bones, some are washers/spacers under the shock etc. Either way it'll raise the rear end causing the bike to dip into corners to quickly, becareful though, if you have dropped the front and raise the rear it could get a tad shakey and unstable. Could be dangerous, try it one step at a time.

Agreed, when i tightend up the rear shock on my NC30 it made it feel totally different (for the better though Wink )

One step at a time untill you get used to it Smile

Possibly. There's an optimim angle for the swing arm to be at during normal riding in order for the suspension to work its best. I think it's 10 degrees from horizontal when the rider is on. If you jack it up, it could very easily make the arse end more skittish.

The washer was there when i bought it, its only about 4 or 5 mm thick so its not a big difference, you cant go much bigger though you'll run out of thread on the top of the shock, mines quite close as it is.

Beware the sidestand too, mine leans like a bastard Thumbs Down

I wouldn't go too high though, ive seen srads jacked right up, not a pretty sight Crying or Very sad

Looks Like a whale with its mouth open

if you only want it for looks then i'd go with adjusting your subframe mate.

get a bracket made up for where the lower part of the subframe joins onto your frame, extending this part will raise the rear.

i'll make a pic later to demonstrate

k cheers mate Thumbs Up Wink

me & mate checked the sub-frame & it moved about an inch Confused cause theres abit of the sub frame on the 2 top bars that stop it going any further so it would need a TINY bit cut away Confused BUT THEN....theres the exhaust,& it dont look like that would go up with the sub-frame far enough

heres a rough chop mate, cut you can see where you'd have to make the brackets up for.

hope it helps

Looks odd. Just stick the dogbones on there. It's less pissing around than modding the subframe.

I'd love a 750 Gixxer (but need to get more experience and some NCB behind me first), but TBH never really caught on with the looks of the SRAD.

I think the raised rear end looks good, as long as it's not too extreme Thumbs Up
