I havnt seen my RaidII helmet since my accident, I would really like it back (sentimental reasons, obivously not road worthy i doubt) but i dont know how has it!!

The recovery people have nicely sent my keys back (which are quite bashed up but nice to have them back) and the watch on my bike but they said they never took in the helmet.

So, would the police have it? It was in the pics that the police took after i went to hospital so i doubt the paramedics took it.

Im i ever going to see it again??!? I would have though it would have been taken with the bike, maybe the police have it for evidence?!?!

I rang the recovery people before posting this as was 100% sure they had it, but they deferenetly say they dont Sad

I guess next call is to the police, any other places it could be?

Sounds like my recovery people that lost over £300 worth of parts to the R6 when they recovered it!

Apparntly they didnt have it, even though the photos I took at the salvage yard showed the missing items.

The only way to find out is ring everyone involved. I lost my Luminox watch in my crash, rang around and no one had seen it. A few days later had a call from the Air ambulance guys, they had found it in the helicopter.

But chances are yours would be taken by the recovery people and chucked in a corner on an impound somewhere. Confused

The police could have possibly taken it as productions, dependant on what has happened and as part of enquiry and investigations.

A local riding school might have taken it to show kiddies what happens, I've destroyed more helmets than I can recall and each one I show people it shocks them , I just say meh , and get another.

If your insurance company paid out on it (I thought your house insurance had paid up, but I might be wrong) it's legally theirs - unless they told you that you can keep it. Maybe the recovery people gave it to them?

Yea, they did pay out for it, but they never asked for it or any of the bike gear, my rents threw away my gear when i was in hospital as was cut to bits by the paramedics.

I reacon the bike poeple have it, i have to pay up this week, reacon i should go down for a little look and see if i can see it???
