can quite easily get turbos for it, some tarty looking scoops that go behind/above the roof.

is that a 106 gti in the background?

Its my sisters 106 Quiksilver. And I paid a bit more than 3k for it... It is an 'S' Reg UK car.

It does have a years warranty and only 70k on the clocks. It may not be worth the amount I paid for it now though, because I had a bit of a mishap the other day in the wet.

the alloys on the right hand side now have huge great kerbing marks on them where the car went sideways into a kerb. You might be able to see them on the pics actually...

I definately need new (and stickier) rear tyres! Embarassed

ive always wanted a mk1 mr2. think it would make a nice track car.

The handling on the MR-2, especially in that generation, is known for being truck like. The motor is good for 600hp though, I spent many an afternoon under my mates' 512 rwhp Mr-2, though that cost him upwards of 30k (though that included 2 engines).

Incidentally that also swapped ends very easily, despite having extensive handling reworking.

my mate got his mk1 to 340ish horsepower. all i know about was a turbo, ported, throttle bodies.

didnt last very long though, and it went through tyres alot Confused

I meant to tell you, MR2s are lethal in the wet, but I guess you've learnt that now.

Wishing you'd gone for the turbo model yet? I've been reading about putting a mk2 turbo engine or the 3l V6 from a camry in the back of my mk1...

I always prefered the MK1 myself, though I have a thing for rusty old cars. Snap oversteer doesn't sound like much fun, I don't think they were designed to handle safely which is nice if you can exploit it, it'll keep you on your toes Laughing

I prefer the Pontiac Fiero to be honest, they weighed about 1170 kilos, and had a large v6 in the back. Most have been converted to a 3.8 litre supercharged v6 by now, or feature transverse mounted 350 V8 motors. It was also less bulbous looking than the second gen 'merde', the first gen was a dead ringer for the first gen toyota though...
