Halfway between the battery and the starter, attached to (at least) two thick wires.

At a guess

You'll need a multimeter unless you want to make a shedload of sparks.

By the way, most of the time the problem is your battery is flat. Use a car battery and some jump leads to try and start the bike before you do anything else.

I am going to try and get it hocked on to a car. hopefully it'll work that way and save a lot of time.

I've taken some of the front units off the bike. this includes the clocks, the front light, front fairing and clock mount. do you know if this would stop the bike from starting bearing in mind that the bike wasnt starting before I took these parts off.

If you interfered with the ignitions switch wiring, you may well have a problem. There's the kill switch to worry about too, but that's more likly to stop you from stopping the engine Smile

Clocks themselves and lights shouldn't (?) make a difference.
