Hi all... I write this post from my new room in Brunel... Have fast internet access but not porn or file sharing (whats the point of the internet then...)

Campus seems cool... couple of clubs/bars which i am too tired for today...

Interested to see if anyone else is in the same boat.

Depends the halls i was at last year used a uk wide supplier called green dog they barred p2p but they allowed porn . We were at one point getting online games to and a few people were playin xboxs.

Just got back from the Student Union Bar... im well pissed now... havent drunk in a while... was a good crack... I think i will enjoy my time here.

The guy in the room opporsite is someone who has just stepped off a plane from pakistan today. And his english is better than mine... cool dude... he likes his JD ...

Im glad i dident get a proper fuckin nutter next to me... some self harming goth that plays death metal till all hours...

As for the internet... Well i got enough porn on my comp to keep me going while my girl is not here. and as for the online gaming... i was looking forward to having stupidly low pings... but fuckit...

All i can say is a highly recommend living on campus, if you commute you miss out on alot of the social aspect...

During Freshers week andy i was easily spending 20 quid a night... on drinks... its calmed down a bit now

I'm mid-way through freshers week right now!

I'm at Coventry and apart from the fact our accomodation is right next to one of the roughest areas in Coventry I'm absolutely loving it! Tonight Dave Pearce the Radio1 DJ is performing at our SU Bar!!

I just can't get my head round how much is going on, compared too my little country town down in Somerset this is amazing, but quite a culture shock!!

Its not that mate, i was born and raised in central london everythings going on but there is just a good vibe at uni... i just got back from another hall where theres a bunch of guys and girls from every fuckin race/culture having a laugh, shooting the shit, a couple drinks, a couple joints... good times

well, 3rd day today and very tired and hungover!!

Been out till 2-3am at lauch night, beach party last night and was well good, had about 4 hours sleep last night and in about 2hours starting to drink for the pub crawl that the whole uni does!!

Thinking of getting a CG125/RXS100 for the hill, cost so much on bus and take forever!!

Im yet to sober up properly, this it might hurt!!

I'm on my 5th day here at Keele, and it's great. Made some very good friends and everyone in the block is nice, which is good when you're sharing 1 kitchen amongst 29 people.

I've spent about £20 a night on drinking so far, which would explain my condition last night - I was buying £1.60 double vodka and cokes, and just kept buying them until the bar closed. It looks like I bought 11 or 12 of them.

Just had an introductory lecture for law today, they're scaring me with the workload already.

I wrote an E-mail to my rents and got a bit carried away and went into detail with my week so though id post some of it up for anyone who wants to read it!!

So after you left me i went up to my flat and no one was in there, i was like "what did i do!!" so went into my room and thought id unpack a little then go see if anyone was out, but within 30secs the crew (these are 2nd and 3rd years that are assigned to each accomodation to make sure we all have a good time) come into the flat and made me come out and put a can in my hand and i sat outside with a guy in the flat acoss the hall called matt. They got more of us on the grassy bit and we all got to met each other which was good. We chatted some and then i think someone else came out.

That night was the lauch night and i think we all just drunk a lot and had a good time, i was out till about 3am that night and was good, the events are held in the main sports hall.

The second day i met with my flat mates. Pete is cool, nice guy whos parents live in Greese. He has boarded a lot of his life so this doesnt seem that strange to him really. Chris (the small guy on my course) is also ok, though can get annoying at times. He also from Private school (£12k and wasnt even boarding). The forth member of the flat is JACKIE!!! I have met him for a grand total of 5mins and i really think he doesnt like us/the flat. He's Chinese and like a lot of the international students really doesnt mix and go out, which is fair enough but annoying but what can you do.

The flat acoss is where we do all our drinking, they have already had a warning for mess in their kitchen as like 15 gather and have a drinking sesson before going out (YES, this wont be the case when term starts!) and their is 5 of them. Matt (the guy i met first) is starting uni again, did 2years at bunnel before dropping out and i think hes a bit of a idiot, we all feel the same way about this. Then their is Dee, shes English but Muslim but dresses very english and shes a good laugh. Then there is the american guy (forgot his name) whos doing foundation year (if your doing a foundation year you have to stay at John wood as college is like opposite, not allowed to campus). Then there is Fliss, shes from ascourt (spelt wrong) and a laugh but you can tell shes loaded, also fun to go out with like the rest of them.

The second night was beach party which was good and their was some good music, stayed out late and got very drunk.

The third day was spent mostly at uni going to the talk and when we did have anywhere to go me and chris hung out at Alices flat in Norwood (on campus) which is good. The night was the pub crawl!! This is probably the messiest night of the week. We went across the hall and played drinking game and was wasted before we steped out of the door. We also used a funnel, where you have some hosepipe and a funnel, pour a pint in and hold it out and you drink a can in a very quick time!!

We all went out as "John Wood" was about 40 of us and every pub we went in we made lots of noise and drunk lots!! I cant remember how many pubs we went to but it was 10+ and i drank in each, included a very nice vodka bar which had like 100flavours of vodka!! The crew were well good and made the night really good, being like one of the only accomodations off campus we had to made a point to make noise. All the accodations do it and means your shouting loads of abuse in the street to another massive group, but its all laughs and everyone is all friends really. As the whole uni do the pub crawl is was very busy and took ages to get drinks. I think i didnt make it back to campus as really couldnt walk after that!!

Its also quite good as all the english poeple here are here because:
- Foundation year
- Applied late
- Clearing
- Second choice
- Bath lost their application

No one wanted to be here and we all wanted to leave at first but as soon as we relise their was loads of us in the same boat we think its alright. I still this a few will move monday but i think most will stay.

Last night was the ball which is the taking it easy night, get ready for the toga party tonight!! We spent most night in this bar on campus as ball was a bit rubbish. One of the crew got kicked out for being too wasted.

Food has been good, we went to the uni fair and got some much stuff, like 4loaves of bread, pot noodles, energy drinks tea, posters for the kitchen....all for free!! Our kitchen looks quite cool with all the stuff up and defernetly more homely though i doubt Jackie has seen it yet as hes never here!! Weather spoons is like 30seconds away and pete and me got "beer and burger" for £2.99 each!! As we have these vouchers from the fair so going to save a bit.

Everyone one here is posh, im completely in the minoirty being from state school, is doesnt make a difference but out of are floor i recon 3of9 took loans to pay. Their still cool poeple but not what im used too. I think its bath uni in general. A lot of them did "IBs" which is like some international quiliforcation thats harder than A-levels. There are some really cool people ive meet from other blocks aswell who all come out. Dan is in a flat is really quiet poeple and we really thinking of asking jackie to swap with his as i think Jackie would prefere a quietier envoirnment as maybe he feel uncomfortable with all us around as his english isnt great.

Well thats it so far! Hope you found it informative and know what ive been doing, i think i wrote a lot as i have a huge hangover!! It will be good in a way to get feshers over as i dont think i been sober much at all. But you only do it once i guess!!

The scars also make interesting convosation, but i havnt said much about what happend, i say vaguely about it but i havnt shown the photos and i dont think i will as i think about it less when no one is asking about it all the time, which i prefere.

Healthwise, i think i have pushed my body a lot this week but i think ive coped and after everything that happend i wanted to make the most of this week. Im might be seeing doctor monday to check im still ok.
