£7.35 here at Vue in Harrow - although I'm pretty sure that's actually a price cut, as I think I paid £7.80 last time I went.

I can remember paying £3.80 with my Naval ID 6-7 years ago - impressive inflation!

i also remeber paying £2 for a ticket when i was younger at the savoy, (very very dirty cinema where everyone smoked and spat their chewing gum out on the seats) Sick

It's about £6 at the Sheffield UGC/Cineworld. There's no wonder there's so much film piracy with these prices.

It's about £7.80 last time I went to the odeon in guildford.
This is why I don't go as much as i'd like.

The guy behind the till said "it'll only come to £6.00 if you have a student card"

To which i replied "Trouble is, I'm not a freeloading student"

Full time work FTW. Smile

Round here the grotty showcase is £3.50 which aint half bad and the cinema is usually empty so you can have a fag and chat to your mates about the film while its happening.

Then you have the pretentious Cineworld which is £6. I know which one i use all the time.. Except for if im on a date and pretending im well loaded Thumbs Up

And it's the arseholes that you have to share the experience with that keeps me away. Give me the comfort of my own living room every time.

the film cost just about covers the cost to the cinema of getting the film and showing it.

The running costs of the cinema, and the wages of the staff comes from the 'concessions' ie, popcorn, hotdogs, nachos and drinks.

if you want to blame anyone for the high cost of the film, blame the film producers, not the cinema
