Just this past couple of days I've seen all those overhead motorway signs saying "Keep left unless overtaking", usually they don't display anything other than 'spray slow down', or traffic information.
I travel between manchester to liverpool each day (m62) and it's made quite a good change to the flow of traffic
I hope they keep them displayed, I think some of the 'lane squatters' dont even know that they should keep left as they don't really teach you motorway driving whilst learning unless you take an optional course. |

At last, they are finally putting the overhead boards to good use.
I wander if they will now start doing that on all the digi boards instead of leaving them blank, or "Dont drive when tired!". ____________________ ZXR750R (M2) - For the road.

Has to be better than the messages I saw...
"Don't Drink and Drive"
...and that was at 7:30am.

They stated trialing this on the M62 sometime last year, it even made the Tv news (probably local variety I don't recall exactly)... Although I only saw it once or twice before the signs returned to the highly useful and informative "Que Ahead" and "Congestion after next Junction" which seem to be turned on at the point where I could walk faster than the traffic and don't really need a sign to tell me "Congestion slow down". In fact it would be nice to actually move so I could actually slow down!
2nd and 3rd lane hoggers is one of personal pet hates and really rubs me up the wrong way!

Cool, should mean just sitting in the middle lane will be even better if everyone else is keeping left. |

I noticed a while back that you were a marillion fan... garden party is the song I believe?
Anyway, yes, here in Wales, the boards only seem to display the time, or "queue ahead" ____________________ TL1000s, KDX200 |
