picture this (unfortunately i couldn't get a picture on my phone)
a busy west end street near planet hollywood and all the bays are full of bikes, christmas shoppers on their peds and so on.

I need to park so i can get to the nightclub below planet and the bay opposite had one space left.
it was caused by a bike being parked next to on both side too closely.
when the rider returned he's obviously pushed either bike to one side causing a bit of a domino effect either side of the now gaping hole, no wayyyy was i going in there for i like my paint where it is.
i found another space elsewhere.
would you have parked there?

I think the other bikers would tie your bollocks to one bike, your cock to another and drive off in opposite directions.

maybe.

I've parked next to a bike that was on it's side, once. But figured it'd be ok, as said bike was missing a chain anyway, and looked like it'd been there for quite a while.
Still, I wasn't best pleased about doing it. Even if it was my heap of shit, I'd still be annoyed if someone knocked it over.
I always avoid parking next to bikes that look like they've been touched since being parked..

Do you mean by Leicester Square?

There's a bike bay round the corner as well, in fact several within walking distance, that usually have spaces. The best one is at the bottom of Lower Regent St, usually you can park in there, cos its a slightly longer walk back up to the main shopping drag (I have chosen this final word specifically).

I hate West End parking bays these days, always full of office-jockey peds, the ratio of peds to "proper" bikes is about 3 to 1 these days. Evil or Very Mad

When I worked in Great Portland St, I always used to park in Great Marlborough St, and get my courier mates to keep an eye on it during the day. If somebody tried to move my bike to fit theirs in, one of The Lads would usually lumber over and go "Oi! Don't touch that fkn bike if ya know whats good for ya!"

I luv having scary mates Thumbs Up There's nothing that makes a girlie feel more protected than having the hunky Uncle Davy from the FFDRC for a chum Thumbs Up
