What feef says. The trick is just not to go mad for about the first 1000 miles or so. It's less speed, more rev critical, really. ____________________ Dead nobodies in company cars... |

Simplest guage - don't go any higher than 50% on the revs... assuming 100% = whatever redline is on the guage.
Personally, feel the mileage folks gives is always way over that necessary. 2 to 300 should be sufficient. Then head to 70% on the guage for another 2 to 300, then nail it to the stop. ____________________ FAB-Racing MiniMotoSidecars - Back with a vengeance - F1 Class 2011...

O god, not another how to run in a bike topic.
Basically advice will vary from person to person.
It's best to vary the load and revs. DONT give it full throttle.
Although it is ok to let the bike rev out under light load to help prevent bore glazing and to help various parts of the engine stretch and bed in.
Avoid using the same revs for a long time. ____________________ My Flickr |
