Chain Adjuster

My chain adjuster has stopped turning on my VFR400R NC30.

It won't turn either way. I poured some degreaser on it to see if it was just clogged with dirt, but it still won't turn. I have a new C&S ready to go on as current chain is on maximum adjustment.

What's the problem?

And yes I have undone the bolt on the swingarm, before anybody asks.

a bit of wd40 or some heat might be on the cards, failing that, chop the bolt and drill it out,
or undo the rear sprocket and pull the whole thing off.
(im not familar with how the adjustments work on a single sided swing arm, i only had the vf400 and that was a normal swing arm, sorry)

I believe they work on a concentrack*sp cam. Probably stuck due to corrosion maybe worth pulling all the bits off and giving the hub a good clean up and a good grease up.

Can anybody give me an in depth account of removing the bits from the swingarm?

Starting from removing the plate that holds the chain and sprockets on if possible.
