wasn't it the CBR400 ? , they were making them till 97/98?
or the ZXR400 ? , officially imported up to 00?
all the recent 400s I've seen are just rebored 600cc sports bikes like SVs , fazers , etc , not specifically designed for that class but restricted bigger classes , probably cheaper for the manufacturers ____________________ Spain 2008France 2007Big one 2009 We all die. Don't confuse manfactured date with registered date - I think Honda stopped production of the RVF and CBR around 1996. Sportsbike wise, the last production bike was the ZXR, but as already mentioned, that was quite a while after its last evolution.
I think they still make unfaired 400s, such as the Superfour V-tech, Fazer, Bandit and SVs, but you may as well opt for a 600 variant.
| Quote: | But to be honest, I really dont like the looks of these old 400's, with there fat arse ends and there ugly fronts and there so ons... |
Tyga Performance and Asia Trading do their own fibreglass bodykits, but I wouldn't say they were an improvement over the original design - in fact, from a design point of view (or just my purist's), they're not as good looking.
Another reason for the 'dead' market (both new and second hand) is because of the price of modern day middleweights - why opt for an overweight, underpowered, softly sprung, knackered 10 year old 400 when you can have the latest greatest bikes on hire purchase? |

Jump straight to a 600, as mistergixer said, a fast bike will ONLY go fast if you want it to.
As long as you can, well, i can't think of any other way to say this, but anyway...if you can control your right hand you should be alright ____________________ wizzzard wrote: Imagine God just stopping by, tidying your front room up and then quietly letting himself out again.
