I agree with Clanger
In my opinion having a baby so soon is a big strain. If she moves out & you take things slowly it might work out.

I've had 2 kids myself & the hormones can affect the brain but it's not an excuse to turn your back on responsibilites.
Having a kid is the biggest responsibility you'll ever have!!
To be honest I feel for the baby.
I think you need to put your foot down too.

Wish you all the best of luck Thumbs Up

it aint easy but life was never meant to be, it's what you make of it.

if you dont dare you can never experience some things.

Just read this, and I'd say bollocks to the unhelpful replies... I've seen how women can change (temporarrily) when they're pregnant. I would bite my tongue and be as nice as possible whilst 'suggesting' she gets on with stuff, for her sake...It's especially bad in the early months, as she'll be feeling like shit... I'm guessing you'll see a change when she starts showing. If it continues until after the birth and beyond then what have you actually lost?

If you can hang on in there for another 5 months, the 'nesting insinct' will kick in and she will spend every waking minute cleaning the house from top to bottom.

The place will be absolutely fecking spotless.

Anything which cannot be sterilised to her satisfaction will be thrown out and replaced by new stuff. This could include items such as toothbrushes (which she has used to scrub bathroom tiles or the toilet bowl), lampshades which have a microscopic stain on them and crockery that is perfectly usable but may have a tiny chip on the underside.

I am currently going through this phase and will be preparing to bath the cat this weekend as I find she is just not hygenic enough.

Sadly, the way things appear to be between you at the moment, 5 months will seem like a lifetime and things might just deteriorate to the point of no return.

Remember, you can always call upon...

Laughing

That made me chuckle. It reminded me of when my Mrs was pregnant. She's had major cravings for Detol (the anitceptic stuff) and I caught her sniffing it on several occasions, and even pouring it into the bath as if it was bubble bath. But saying that, she also liked the smell of my arm-pits. Shocked No, they are not that bad!!!!

Froggeh - All women act differently when they are pregnant, they all have little quirks and stuff, but its not like they dont know what they are doing / saying etc...

Thumbs Up

Get your head round this:

I live with my girlfriend. She isn't pregnant, perfectly healthy. She has more spare time than me after work........and she still does FUCK ALL around the house!

She can't cook, doesn't clean.

Women are lazy fuckers.

I hope your situation works out but there is no explaining or reasoning with a hormonal woman.
All I would suggest is that you bite your tongue, hang in there and don't do anything drastic.
The chances are things will change back to good again very quickly.
