chain to big (wide) for sprocket?

I was servicing my fazer last night and grabbed the sprocket to make sure it was tight etc when i noticed the chain seemed quite a bit wider than the sprocket itself. Is this normal or has the previous owner bought the wrong replacement chain?

Its an aftermarket DID chain on standard yamaha sprockets. I tried to look for the 525, 530 etc on the chain but couldnt find it.

Probably is OK but just to make sure - 5 means it's 5/8" rivet to rivet on the side plates (centres of the rollers), the next number is the roller length in 1/8ths" so 2 = 1/4", 3=3/8"
So 530 and 520 have the same side plates, the 530 is 3/8" width across the rollers and 520 is 1/4" across the rollers.
If there is a problem it will be you have 520 sprockets and a 530 chain.
