i could help you out but tbh i dont have time to do a write up atm.. i have been learning airbrushing for a couple of years and unless you have a lot of time to sit and practice then your on a bad start .

basics are
you will neeed a compressor that will give you a steady flow no more than about 40 psi, it needs a inline water trap and a adjustable pressure gauge.

you will need a lot of practice materials depending on what you want to spray ie panels, canvase, paper.

you will need to get the paint for the type of spraying your doing as above. if you think using one type of paint is the only way it works ge tused to the idea that it costs a lot of money for bike and helmet spraying as different paints are needed for different affects, ie pearl, opaqe, transparent, candy, thinners are needed and lots of mixing containers.

the the important part is the airbrush its self. the more money you can throw at a airbrush the better your work will be, i have 5 airbrushes and they are all used when i can be bothered to do some painting. good makes are iwata, devilblis.

ebay is a good source for starting cheap, just type in airbrush inthe search box and loads of stuff pops up.
