Depends which one you get. Cheap ones are easy to wire up and easier to bypass. The more expensive ones are better as all wires out of the alarm unit are the same colour with just labels on(you remove them when you fit it), but are much harder to fit if you don't know what you are doing.

Cheapest will have two wires and take minutes to fit.
Basic immobiliser type have about 5/6 wires and take a couple of hours. The important bit is to have a good think of where its all going before you start.

Any idea which type your going for?

A badly-fitted immobilier/alarm can cause nightmares. If it's a simple device that doesn't cut into the wiring for immobilising the bike then I'd say fit it yourself. Otherwise, have someone else do it.

If youre looking at datatool s4 then these dont come with any fitting instructions so it would have to be done by an approved fitter

You don't look that far from me. If you decide to go down the self fit route then I'd be more than happy to help out.

Read the Sig.

Although not sure if I'm approved anymore, must give them a call.

Do you already have it?

Yellow and/ or white wires to the ignition? Remember that the ignition wires go somewhere, usually CDI or fusebox. It might be better to attach there rather than at the more obvious barrel end.
